farewell brunch

The morning after the wedding, we’re hosting a farewell brunch for all of our wedding guests and for us to say goodbye and remember things that happened the night before. It’s also a great opportunity for us to thank our parents and attendants before we head off for Maui!

I’ve put together this board of pictures for the farewell brunch. I’m planning on creating an “Erin and Todd Sunday Times” crossword puzzle for everyone to have at each place setting. There are websites that will help you create it! I’m going with a lemons and oranges theme– and because I’m DYING to make them for myself, I included Williams-Sonoma’s lemon-filled pancakes!

clockwise from top left: Williams Sonoma filled pancakes, Yellow Vase- stanglpottery, oranges in vase- soiree special events blog, Mimosas- jupiter images, crossword puzzle- Martha Stewart Weddings, Meyer Lemon Curd- Williams Sonoma

…and a little something in there for his mom, Hillary!

A yellow and blue pool party inspiration board. Think yellow and white stripes and don’t forget the swimmies!

birthday parties

Ever since the day that Todd and I were walking through the Horseshoe and saw about 12 little girls celebrating a birthday and running around in pink tulle dresses with fairy wings and wands, I realized that planning birthday parties could be so much fun!

I have a lot of friends that are about to plan their child’s first birthday– you know who you are! I’ve been having a lot of fun with Photoshop brainstorming event ideas and I created two inspiration boards for birthday parties; one for a girl and one for a boy.

The first is a pink paisley inspired garden party.

The second inspiration board is for a boy’s pirate inspired birthday party.
