purple and grey inspiration board

An Elizabeth Anne Designs reader saw my guest post and emailed me a few months ago. She noticed that I had gotten some of our flowers in Dallas and my parents drove them to South Carolina for the wedding. This reader is living in Atlanta, but is from Dallas and is getting married there in January. She sent me some pictures of her venue, Maple Manor, and told me that she was wanting to go with purple and grey for her colors. She was looking for ways to warm up her January garden wedding.
Happy planning, Keli!

vera wang on weddings

Vera Wang has taken her bestselling book, “Vera Wang on Weddings” and has created a website by the same name that is completely dedicated to weddings, not just her absolutely gorgeous gowns. The site features Ideas and Inspiration, Fashion, Registry, and tons of beautiful images to accompany each of these categories. I could spend all day looking at everything she has here. A lot of the images are duplicates from her coffee table book that I look at once a week, but it’s nice to have it at my fingertips any time I want it! You can view her new wedding dress collection and shop her registry collection.
Happy viewing and thanks to my cousin, April for alerting me to this great new website!

acorn

I just signed up for the Preppy Fall Swap hosted by Preppy Mama. I heard about this through Vineyard Vogue and I’m really excited to participate in my first swap– especially during my favorite season! Head on over there and sign up, too!

How cute is the button that Preppy Mama’s husband created? You know I love acorns. My last name (or maiden name) sounds a little like “acorn” and when I was little, people would tease me and call me “Erin Acorn.” Todd caught on to this after we met and that’s what he calls me a lot of the time. He gave me a necklace last year with lots of tiny gold acorns hanging from it. We even put little acorns in his boutonniere. Fall is a good time to be “Erin Acorn!”

clowns in my coffee?

No, that would be CLOUDS in my coffee.

Just minutes before I was to walk down the aisle, my dad pulled this little prop out of his coat pocket.

Bell ringer/flower girl, Natalie, was fascinated and was very interested in trying on the nose herself. At the reception, my dad gave her a little gift.
