happy Sunday!

We had a great Valentine’s Day. Even though we agreed on “no gifts,” Boudreaux and Fiona still surprised me with the remaining two Sonya Renee necklaces with my other two initials on them, roses, a series of five prenatal massages, and truffles from Lexington, Virginia’s Cocoa Mill. They went a little overboard. I felt so bad that I missed the underlying truth that we really would get gifts. Our dinner last night was fantastic and I can’t even put into words how good everything was.

We’re off to Sunday school and church in about twenty minutes and, as usual, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there. And hopefully I’m going to see the Shopaholic movie tonight with some of the girls.

I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day, too!

a LOVEly weekend

Todd and I are headed out to meet some friends for Thai food tonight. We plan to spend our Valentine’s Day picking out paint colors for the nursery and my new home office. We’ve got all of the swatches for the nursery together, so we can finally choose a paint color.

We decided not to do gifts this year for Valentine’s Day, but we’re going to splurge on a fabulous dinner at Garibaldi’s tomorrow night.

Happy Valentine’s Day, blog friends!

new obsession: baby photos

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with wedding photography; particularly the work of the fabulous Kelly Moore. The only bad thing is that Kelly is located in my home state of Louisiana and I have to fly her out here or go to Louisiana if we want her to take our pictures. Kelly’s good friend is also an incredible photographer and luckily she lives in Wilmington, North Carolina! So now I’m obsessed with Millie Holloman Photography.

Millie’s weddings are fantastic and are frequently featured on Southern Weddings blog, but she also takes beautiful photos of babies, kids, and families. I’ve contacted Millie about taking pictures of Baby Boy Carroll and we’re so excited about this!

The package we’re interested in gets us 5 sessions with Millie starting when Baby Boy is 2 weeks old through the time he has his first birthday. I’m excited already!

we've got letters

My friend Emily at From the Land of Cotton assigned me the letter “T” a few weeks ago after she did this on her blog. I’m supposed to list 10 things I love that begin with the letter “T.”

1. Todd (obviously)

2. Tater tots from Sonic

3. Traveling

4. Toss Designs

5. Tech

6. Time with the girls

7. Terrific weddings

8. Television

9. Tiny Baby Boy Carroll

10. Talking on the phone with my parents and brother
