One of my favorite things about Christmas is receiving Christmas cards in the mail. I love to send them, too, but being in a new house has been so much fun because we’ve already been receiving so many beautiful cards.
(And, you know, sometimes ordering a card and choosing a photo gets a little hairy when you realize that in a whole year you only have two photos of your whole family of four. But that’s a story for another day.)
With the move and all the events of the Christmas season, I wanted to order my Christmas cards as soon as possible so I could get them addressed and mailed before the holiday fun began.
I decided to order from Minted this year because you just can’t beat the quality. The designs are beautiful and original, and can be customized. The paper quality is absolutely fantastic.
But the best part is the reliability. I ordered them last week and they shipped within two days. And I even received a proof before they shipped.
The cards arrived a couple of days ago and I spent the last two days during nap time addressing them, putting in the envelope liners (which are absolutely gorgeous) and stuffing them.
I’m in love.
We enlisted the help of Emily Chappell Photography to take our family photos this year, and we were so pleased. The boys had the best time and we got some really beautiful photos that capture our personalities.
Choosing a card was easy this year when I saw the Joyful, Joyful card! I included an envelope liner and a card backer for a little bit extra, and I love how they turned out.
Today (Friday), Minted is offering a promotion of free shipping upgrade to overnight. You will pay $7.95 for standard shipping but you will receive overnight shipping if you check the appropriate box. This is only available on Friday. It’s absolutely worth it to take advantage of overnight shipping so you can get your cards out as soon as possible. (Cards are shipped after you approve your proof.)
May your days be merry and bright, and may all your mailboxes be full!

I used Minted this year as well and chose the BLESSED card using the family picture from our son’s wedding! It was gorgeous and the card was exactly what I wanted. Love yours too~adorable!

Iove Christmas cards…one of my very favorite things about the season! Love the ones you picked out Erin!
Love this post. There really is just something about receiving Christmas cards–especially when you’ve moved. We experience that every few years, and the cards at Christmas time just remind us that we are loved from so many different places!
How lovely! Your cards turned out beautifully! Just don’t forget to put them in the envelopes…I sent out only envelopes one year without any cards in them! Luckily I’m not losing my mind this Christmas! 😉

I love your card! I love Minted, too. I love the quality of Minted and use them for our cards almost every year.
LOVE Minted, but they don’t ship for you… and living overseas I have to have that option!
We may have to make the switch from Shutterfly to Minted next year. Everyone has shown so many awesome Minted cards!!!!!!
