It’s time for another Five on Friday with Darci, Natasha, April and Christina. Join in! Link up!

-ONE-
Camp KK

On Sunday, I drove back from Indiana and the the boys stayed there with my parents. Back when I was pregnant with Hudson, I remember seeing that Clemson Jenn did something every summer with her boys called Granny Camp. And I just loved that idea. Now that Hudson is 4 and Hayes is 2, they’re finally both old enough to spend a week with my parents, 12 hours away from me. My parents say that they are all having the best time. Of course, we’ve Face Timed and my mom sends me pictures. My parents mean the world to me, and giving my boys the opportunity to have alone time with their grandparents. But I sure do miss them! And I get all choked up thinking about how sad my boys are going to be when they say goodbye to my parents tomorrow. (Insert crying Emoji here.)

Prince George of Cambridge

I got sucked in to a little bit of the Royal Baby fever as soon as he was finally here. I had a feeling that they’d have a little Prince, and I just love his name. My friend Kristen reminded me of the quote from Father of the Bride Part II when George Banks is talking to his brand new grandson, George, and says, “It’s a good name, George. Don’t let the other kids tease you.” Oh, I love that movie. And I love the name George. And the Duchess just looks radiant. What an exciting day! (And now I hope, for their sakes, that they can get a little privacy for a while.)

Vaseline Spray

I was a little skeptical when I first saw the Vaseline Spray because I really don’t like Vaseline. It’s always grossed me out a little bit. But I tried this stuff at my mom’s house last week, and I absolutely love it. It’s not thick. It’s easy to use. And it does the trick and moisturizes. I need to go get some now. I love this stuff!

Asheville

We’re in Asheville this weekend for a little getaway. Actually, Todd’s here for a conference and getting some CLE credit, and I was the lucky wife who got to tag along. We absolutely love Asheville. We were here two years ago for my birthday, and have been saying ever sine that we can’t wait to come back. It’s a short drive from Columbia. If you’re interested in visiting Asheville, read my recap from the last time we visited. It’s such a wonderful place for a getaway.

So I’m hanging out at the Grove Park Inn today and plan to hit up the spa, hang out by the pool, and enjoy the last few hours or quiet before we get to squeeze Hudson and Hayes tomorrow!

Highlights!

I hadn’t had a manicure or pedicure in months and it had been way too long since I’d gotten my hair highlighted. My roots were out of control. So I hoed that while the boys were with my parents I could get appointments to take care of all of the grooming. So I had a mani/pedi morning and then got my hair highlighted yesterday. Yay! It’s the little things that can make you feel so much better!

Your hair looks beautiful! I am in desperate need of a manicure and hair day! Enjoy your little getaway with your husband…looks like such a fun city to visit!

I love the Grove Park Inn! My second cousin (who I call Uncle) actually built the GPI spa. It is so beautiful with how it coordinates the four elements into the scheme – my favorite treatment there is probably the Fire, Rock, Water and Light one. Bliss! Enjoy your weekend.

Sometimes, I feel very much twinsies with you. 🙂 I went a little Royal Baby crazy, following every update online and Facebooking about it. And golly, do I love some Asheville. We honeymooned there so it, and especially the Biltmore, has a very special place in my heart. What good eating there is in Asheville! And you’ve reminded me how much I love highlights. As a brunette, I always get caramel ones and I think it’s time for some right about now. 🙂
And next time you’re in Indiana, I would love to meet up at the Children’s Museum or somewhere to meet you! We could have a play date. Glad you got some time away; it really refreshes a mama’s soul! Especially as you’re headed into a busy fall with school and the house being done soon(?).

You are beautiful!! We have lots of friends who send their kids to “grandparent camp” in the summer! Such a fun idea!! We even know one family who gets t-shirts made for the week for all the grandkids. I love it!

North Caroline is so beautiful! And I just got my hair “brightened” last week, and it made all the difference in making me feel like I was taking care of myself! 🙂 Enjoy your getaway!

I saw you “like” my Instagram photo of the Vaseline lotion and I wondered if you were going to blog about it..haha! I’m loving it! So easy and quick!

You must miss your boys SO so so much, but I’m sure the time to catch up on stuff around home and take care of yourself is really nice. It’s so nice that they can spend time with your parents, since I remember you saying that you all don’t get to see each other as often as you wish. Your hair is absolutely beautiful! Have a great weekend away!

I had to laugh out loud today when I read your post about new little Prince George! The Father of the Bride movies are my favorites and I said that exact same line to a co-worker today who didn’t agree that George was a perfect name! Too funny!! Great minds think alike I guess. Have a good weekend!

Ahhh. (That was my happy sigh for you). Its nice getting your hair done, but even nicer when you’re not looking at your watch thinking they’d better hurry because you got to get back to your kiddos!
Enjoy Asheville!! Such a neat town!
