inspired by The Dish

I can say that, as a blogger, I have suffered from writer’s block quite a few times. I often look to what I’m reading and what I’m watching to inspire me to come up with a new post. I like to share recipes with all of you, but I also find myself in a big recipe rut, too. New content for my blog often starts as new content at my dinner table. And after years of looking at the same old cookbooks, I’ve been looking for something else.

I was recently introduced to ConAgra Foods’ online resource called The Dish, specifically designed for bloggers. Bloggers are exposed to the latest information and insights to help us come up with blog posts, recipe ideas that lead to blog posts, and new food industry trends.
One of my favorite areas of The Dish is the Recipe Resources. A recent post in this category lists a thorough group of foods that are in season that would be great ideas for blog content. Because peaches are in season in August, it would be relevant to blog about your favorite peach pie recipe or peach ice cream recipe.
It’s easy things like this that are so simple, but really help cure writer’s block! It’s such a valuable resource for all bloggers.
The Dish gives bloggers access to kitchen experts. Bloggers are also given blogging tips and cooking advice from celebrity chefs, industry leaders, bloggers, and moms.
The dish has helped me as a blogger by showing me how to think outside the box. It has shown me how to look at each little part of my day and each part of my life and think about how I can turn that event, recipe, or idea into a blog post.
I especially love the First Look, First Taste section that gives bloggers an early peek at ConAgra Foods’ newest promotions and products. And you can request free samples!
The greatest thing is that this information is available to all bloggers!
All you need to do is visit The Dish and sign up to become a member of The Dish. All you need is a blogging URL. You can also follow @ConAgraDish on Twitter. Another way you can participate is by requesting product samples from the First Look, First Taste section.
You can be entered to win a $50 Visa gift card just by telling me what your favorite section of The Dish is and why.

Recipe Resources sounds great to me. I’m always searching for new recipes to try or variations on old standards. I’m not a very imaginative cook so I need inspiration from a great source.
