There were a few random things I wanted to share this week, but never got around to posting about all of them.
1. Last Sunday afternoon, we took Hudson to Sesame Street Live. His second birthday was in June and his KK and Poppie gave us tickets to see Sesame Street Live in Greenville and they also got us passes for Hudson to meet some of the cast before the show. He is right at the perfect age to go to this. He loves Sesame Street and he absolutely loved the show. He sat in his seat the whole time except when he couldn’t see, and then he sat on his Daddy’s lap. He never made a peep. He was just mesmerized by the characters and the music.
We were on the front row, so we were pretty darn close. The characters would come down on the floor and Hudson was so excited that they were so close. But he still wouldn’t let them touch him. I wonder what it will be like with Santa Claus this year.
Before the show, we got to meet Abby Cadabby and Grover. Hudson was excited to see them, but definitely didn’t want to touch them. We couldn’t even get him to give them “knucks.”
poor Hudson… his mommy is a big nerd
2. My friend, Nina, and I have really fun Erin Condren giveaway coming up on Monday morning. So stay tuned and  get excited! And we promise we won’t make you jump through 8 million hoops to enter!
Yesterday, Erin Condren had a fun Facebook party where she was chatting with some of her fans. I totally forgot about it until Nina sent a text to Meredith and me, reminding us to get on Facebook because Erin Condren had posted this funny picture! I was dying laughing and then I wanted to run to California so I could go work in their offices with them.
3. You may have noticed a button on my sidebar for a fun company called List Plan It. They have so many amazing organizing tools and printables for you to use. They’re not free, but you can buy a one year subscription to download and print all that you want. And then it’s yours! I have loved this site and have used the printables for my home organization notebook and my recipe binder. Click here for hundreds of lists to put your world in order.
Just recently, I purchased an eBook from them called 100 Days to Christmas. Sweet Nina has already gone through the whole thing and done a great vlog review on her blog. Yesterday marked the first day of 100 days until Christmas day, so I started looking at my eBook. The book breaks down each day and gives you suggestions on things you can go ahead and do to prepare for the Christmas and holiday season. One of the biggest things for me is getting my shopping done and getting my addresses for Christmas cards organized. So I’m loving this eBook to help me stay organized so I don’t get overwhelmed later.
For me, as soon as November rolls around, life gets crazy with outside church and Junior League commitments. So I don’t want to be going crazy during such a fun and special time of year.
4. My twitter and blog friend, Katie from Loves of Life, created a super duper fantastic Fall Bucket List printable. Y’all. This thing is super cute and it gives you some great inspiration for fall activities with your family and friends. This is my absolute favorite time of year, so I love her list. It reminds me not to let this season pass by without soaking it all in and enjoying some great time outside.
Katie’s printable is free! Just click on her blog and read about how to print it out. Then print it out, frame it and check things off the list!

CUTE post! I LOVE the book for Christmas and am totally printing out the fall picture and giving as gifts…how cool! So glad Hudson got to see Sesame Street…those are some of my favorite memories as a child (well, I preferred the ice skating ones!). Hope you have a great weekend! I absolutely love your blog and have been gone for MONTHS, so it’s fun to catch up again 🙂
His expression reminds me of yours when you went to see SSLive when you were about the same age. Priceless!
The sesame street live looks SO fun! You are looking great 🙂
Thank you for the little shoutout to my printable. I hope you guys get some good use out of the list 😉 xo
Good morning from Los Angeles!
Ah, I love that Fall bucket list. There is nothing about Fall I don’t love. The colors on the paper are just so darn pretty, too! Jackson just starts pre-school, so those Minted cards will come in handy. And what adorable pictures from Sesame Street Live! Hudson looked utterly captivated~and you know he had the best time. So glad y’all were able to go out and have some fun family time! That is so important.
Have a lovely weekend Erin!
Warmly,
Elizabeth
Love List Plan It! I am definitely going to sign up… it sounds like I am going to be organized in no time!
Happy Weekend!
Cannot wait for the Erin Condren giveaway!!!
Glad Hudson liked Sesame Street Live 🙂
Love the printout, very cute idea!
Thanks for the links. I am just starting to get more organized in my life and my home and I need some printables. I have also been wanting to write a fall bucket list on my blog but this works perfectly and is prettier 😉
Oh I so wish it was Autumn here.. instead it’s Spring (which I love) but starting to get HOT already.. wahh!
I “pinned” that fall bucket list. Love it!
Erin, I love your blog and have been meaning to say thanks for ages! I’ve been reading you from New Delhi, India and am now back in Washington DC and enjoying your posts everyday. Thanks for your honesty and uplifting words! Elizabeth
Ha! I’m such a nerd too! I think it’s awesome to have a nerdy enthusiastic mom when you’re little-it’s when you get older that it’s no so cool 😉 Sesame Street live looks like so much fun. I can’t wait to take Monroe to that kind of stuff-partly because I want to go again, too! Hudson is looking so grown up in that first pic. He’s losing the baby fat in his face (hope that doesn’t sound mean…I’m sure you know what I mean) and it makes him look so much older. He’s adorable.
Where do you usually get Hudson’s winter pants? I’m still doing longalls for Monroe, but am venturing into the world of two piece outfits-and digging my heels into the ground with every step, but I don’t want to go into shock next year, so I’m easing in. I’m planning on ordering several applique shirts because I don’t like a lot of what’s in stores, but I need some britches. Found a few pairs of cords that don’t look too manly and a pair of cotton pants that still looks cute. I need some gingham, but am afraid they’ll be too thin and cold, any other ideas? I’m not interested in denim yet, although I will let him wear denim overalls, but not jeans.
Must get that book as that is my business….Love the Sesame Street…they have always been one of my favorites…enjoyed all the pictures…so glad that I stopped by
New follower. Love your blog!
My son is still freaked out at people who are dressed as characters, and he is SIX. Love me some Erin Condren!
Love the sesame street live pics! So cute!
Love that fall bucket list, too cute!! Hudson is pretty darn cute too with Sesame, love his shirt!
Ohhh, these pictures made Auntie Lulu so happy! He looks so thrilled to be at the show, what a precious memory to share! And I obviously loved Hudson’s t-shirt as well 😉 You’re looking so great, friend! Hope you have a nice, quiet week this week! xo
The pictures of your giving “knocks” are hilarious!
Where did you get his Elmo shirt? Adorable
