what I'm loving right now

Erin Condren

I’ve become obsessed with everything by Erin Condren since I ordered the Life Planner. I didn’t even know about the Life Planner until Meredith mentioned it and now I’m obsessed. My life planner will arrive in about a week, I think, and I can’t wait! I’ve been trolling around her site and making a wish list a mile long of the other paper items I’d like to get. Do you any of you have any of these items? What do you think?

And today on The Plum District, you can get $50 worth of Erin Condren products for $25! Click here to get the deal! Just search for Houston: Memorial/Central deals!

*Note: I was not compensated for this post. I just happen to love Erin Condren and have a new obsession.

The gift labels are just adorable and so easy to stick on to an adorably wrapped package for any occasion.

I’ve also got my eye on these mom “call me cards.” I know I would use them and the designs are just too cute!

And finally, these address labels are amazing. I just don’t know if I ‘d want the big or small round sticker or a rectangular sticker. And what design? They’re all so cute! And the mailing labels! They’re perfect.

Backpacks

I’m searching for a new backpack for Hudson. He had an adorable little Pottery Barn Kids backpack last year that we bought from Kim, but I think he has outgrown it. And since he’ll be going to school four days a week in the fall, he may need something bigger to bring home all of his projects at the end of the week. I’ve got my eye on the following backpacks and snack packs.

I really like this Pottery Barn Kids Fairfax backpack in red for him. They have a preschool size and it still appears to be big enough for what we need. Any other suggestions are appreciated!

Tunics

Since Hayes was born, I have just lived in tunics. I was lucky enough to not be pregnant during the hot summer months with both pregnancies, but I have had to have post-baby body during the hot summer months. So cute tank tops, skirts, and dresses are out for me. I prefer a flowy tunic with sleeves to help hide my imperfections. I got both of these from Anthropologie right after Hayes was born. They were both kind of a splurge, but I’ve worn them so much I feel slightly justified.

I’ve also picked up a couple at Target, TJ Maxx, and SteinMart. They breathe enough so that I don’t get too hot wearing them with white jeans in the summer. Do you have any great summer tunic recommendations for me? Anything on sale would be preferable!

Love Erin Condren! I’m a big fan of her wall calendars and return address labels. I’ve drooled over her Christmas cards each year as well but have yet to take that plunge. Her products are awesome!

Those tunics are fantastic! Did you see any you liked over at Lesley Evers?

I LOVE Erin Condren products! In the past I bought her note pads for myself and for gifts, and just placed my order for my life planner today. I got a gift from a friend with the large rectangular gift tag on it and it transformed the whole package. She has a line at Target as well (only online) and does amazing work. The colors are so fun and love how you can personalize everything.

I need to get some tunics, so I appreciate this reminder. As for backpacks, have you checked out Land’s End? We have had good luck there – less expensive than Pottery Barn & more durable.

I love all of those things.

Erin Condren is a special on the discount site, The Plum District today. You can $50 worth of merchandise for $25, plus there’s an additional 20% off if you use the code, inwithnew. I heart EC stuff and I know that it can be pricey.

I discovered Erin Condren through your blog and am also obsessed! I ordered a Life Planner last week and gift labels. I can’t wait to get the goodies and see them in person. I’m sure I’ll be ordering plenty more from her site in the future.

If you’ll look up The Cherry Zebra on Facebook (or Twitter), my sister has TONS of great backpack options, and she’s the best monogrammer I’ve ever known. (Clearly not biased, ha!) She ships anywhere! 🙂

I have the Notebook planner and the Big wall calendar-that I love. I had her put a spiral binding and bought a magnetic calendar holder at Office Max- put a stronger magnetic strip on it and have it hanging on my fridge. I bought St. Patrick’s day cards, Easter cards and cute shamrock gift labels. I want it ALL!!!!!! I am addicted too! And she is so cute- love the video of the planner, too!
Going to get the teacher planner very soon.

Thank you for the tip on the Plum District deal. I have been admiring the EC planners but was waiting to see if anyone had a percentage off code. Can’t beat 50%!

I saw some cute tunics on the sale racks at Belk on Saturday. I was in Florence, but I’m sure they would be in Columbia. Most were the brand Madison, and all were 40% off of the sale price. I didn’t see any that would be more than about $15.00. It’s worth a look!

I just ordered one of the PB backpacks for our daughter last week! Can’t wait until it gets here. My only advice is to check the reviews – many reviewed the preschool size and said it was way too small (doesn’t fit a folder). We ordered the small size for our 2 year old…my niece (who is also 2) has it and it’s not too big for her and it seems to fit a lot more.

Love the tunic idea. I’m due with our 2nd in just a few weeks and am on the hunt for cute post-partum clothes now!

  14. says

well, you already know I am obsessed with all things Erin Condren. I could place an order for one of everything and still need more! 🙂 I was talking to Nina about tunics and found some cute options on sale online at Calypso, Target and Zara. I also found some this weekend at Marshall’s. Loving them for summer as well. Such an easy-to-wear piece for post-baby or early pregnancy when you’re feeling kind of chubby but not yet sporting a bump!

Annnnd now I want one of those gorgeous life planners! Perhaps I will add this to my Christmas list this year. 🙂

Thanks for the hint on the Plum District, too! I just signed up and bought the ER voucher. I’ve been dying to get one, but couldn’t handle throwing down $50. $25 is much easier! 🙂

Thanks for posting about the Plum District deal. I have been wanting one, and I finally ordered one today. I put in your blog as where I heard about the planner so I hope you get something out of the deal:)

We just got the PB preschool backpack in red for our 2 year old and it looks good so far. He took it to a week of camp this summer and it held his artwork, lunchbox, and a change of clothes just fine. It also fits him pretty well. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a buckle between the straps (right at chest level. My 3 year olds have backpacks from Garnet Hill and there is a buckle so that the 2 shoulder straps can be snapped together kind of like a harness. I didn’t think this would matter initially, but they LOVE doing the buckle once the backpack is on and it actually helps the straps not to slip off their shoulders when they have some heavier items in there. GH backpacks are a little bigger though, so it would probably work in about a year or so.

Love reading your blog! I found it through Sarah (Monogram Chick) … we grew up together and were good friends!

We love backpacks from LLBean! They last forever. My daughter’s backpack – used for 2 years of preschool – is still like new. However, it’s too small for folders and other work sent home in kindy, so she’s got a new one for the coming school year. My son’s is going on year #3, and I still have one I used in college (we now use it when day hiking, etc). We are definitely brand-loyal when it comes to backpacks!

I’m particularly grumpy about having to wear my post-preg clothes this summer since there are such cute styles out there right now!

we have use a PBK small mackenzie backpack that i ordered last year. For the past year, it has shelped back and forth to school 5 days a week and has still held up well. i have washed it a few times with no issues as well. the small fits a spare outfit, 2 pull ups and a bento box for lunch. at the end of the day it is filled up projects and paperwork and we still have room to spare. the small pocket in front holds an assortment of snacks and other odds and ends. my son (2.5) is about 37″ tall and 35lbs? it fits him well and he loves to carry it around. i would say the backpack could be a sturdier material, but on the flip side i do like that its a bit more “flimsy”, which helps my son carry it better. the material is also not as cotton-y feeling, and more nylon (maybe?) so any spills and stains are easily wiped off- they dont seem to set in as fast.

I found about about Erin Condren through your website thought that $50 was the most money will have ever spent on a planner, but now with that coupon, I’m sold!!! Also, I just got married, so I think some new address labels for all those TY notes I have to send will come in handy 🙂

  23. says

I love you for posting about the EC planner on Plum District! I even found a code to get an additional $5 off…whoa baby! “inwithnew” in promo code box 🙂

  24. says

Okay…..I really want the EC planner…..and I love those adorable school backpacks, too! Great post!

Also, surprisingly, my favorite tunics this summer have come from Talbots. Is that weird to say, since I’m only 23? I’m a bit embarrassed, but I actually get tons of compliments on them and find them to be really flattering and easy to wear.

  25. says

I have to order some of the address label stickers….they are seriously some of the absolute cutest I have seen!! Thanks for sharing all of her cute stuff…it’s a new brand for me!!

    XOXO

  26. says

i’m in the same boat…..didn’t have to go through summer preggo, but had to endure it with my post-preggo body (now for the second time). i am loving the tunics, too. this is where pinterest is killing me….all i do is “pin” cute outfits that i am definitely not going to be wearing and totally covet them! 🙂

I would have to agree with the commenter(s) who suggested LL Bean for H’s backpack. I’ve used the same backpack for 2 years while in law school and have used LL Bean backpacks overall since middle school. LL Bean is great because each item has a LIFETIME guarantee. If it’s 3 years old and the zipper breaks, they will fix and/or replace it. You can’t beat that.

I’m jumping in the Erin Condren bangwagon for my planner this year. Can’t wait!

  28. says

Just ordered my Life Planner. So excited. I love lists, calendars, and organizational supplies in general. I ordered two matching notepads for good measure. 🙂

Those tunics are really cute. I love Anthro. I got an adorable (one piece) swimsuit there this last spring.

  29. says

They have great tunics at World Market! I bought three of mine there – of course Boden has great ones too! Also, when I bought Walker’s backpack, the best advice I got from the lady across the street with two older boys is just to go ahead and buy the larger backpack because there’s not much difference between the two and they can use the bigger one longer. I got Walker’s at Pottery Barn last year, but we bought the McKenzie and love it!

  30. says

We ordered the PB Fairfax backpack for my twin boys (we got the preschool size)….LOVE THEM!! We got ours in last week and they are the perfect size and hold just enough for MDO days and when we are out running errands.

I can’t wait for my new life planner to arrive, I think it’s going to be absolutely perfect! I also really want to grab some Erin Condren address labels and her “from the desk of” owl notepads for school.

Oh my, Erin’s site is going to get me into trouble!! I am an avid FamilyTime.Mine planner user, but I will have to switch over to the personalized Life Planner. Thanks for posting this, perfect idea to give my husband for my upcoming birthday!

With the Plum District deal, and coupon code brought my total to $15 for $50 and then the and the $10 off code I found for Erin’s site- I paid only for the deal and nothing extra for my planner! NOW that’s a DEAL!!!! Can’t wait for it to arrive!!!

  38. says

Love those tunics! I’m 11 weeks pregnant & about ready-ok who am I kidding-I’m definitely ready to get some loose fitting shirts LOL…so far, lots of bumming in oversized t-shirts-not attractive!

LL Bean is our favorite source for backpacks- they’ve been ergonomically designed for each age and they last forever! I also appreciate the reflective material.

  41. says

P.S. I have mommy calling cards, too, and use them all of the time. A Touch of Whimsey has some cute designs and if you’re looking for a less expensive route, Vista Print also makes them.

  42. Mandy says

We have actually had better luck with PBK & GAP for backpacks! Our LL Bean one didn’t last the entire school year. The PBK backpacks do run small, FYI. Our PBK small is going to be passed down from my 6 year old to my 2 1/2 year old starting preschool in a couple of weeks. Still looks brand new!!!
