and his name is…

After many weeks of deciding and confirming our baby boy’s name, then many more months of secrecy, we have decided to share our name. We have already told our families, and with just a little more than four more weeks of pregnancy, thought it was as good a time as any to announce our sweet little boy’s name to the world!

I have always loved the name Hayes and it works wonderfully that it is an “H” name– since we have so many boy outfits with the letter “H” on them! I like unusual, but not off the wall names that mean something to me.

Claxton, the middle name, is after TC’s mother’s maiden name and we thought it would be a great middle name for our newest addition.Β Unlike Hudson, he will go by his first name.

We can’t wait to meet sweet baby Hayes. Hudson, TC, and I have been talking about him for months and saying his name to each other when we’re at home. So it will be fun to be able to say his name to other people and not remember to keep saying “the baby.”

I can’t believe Hayes will be here so soon! And I can’t wait to show you all of the fun personalized things that we’ve had made just for him.

what a great choice! We named our baby girl Palmer and people are always shocked when they learn that we just liked it and aren’t related to Carson or Arnold. Im right there with you regarding uncommon but not off the wall names….hope these last few weeks treat you well!

Love it!! I am an “H” mom, too. I have Hugh and Harry (Harrison, but rarely is ever called that). Hudson and Hayes sound great together, and you will be saying them together a *lot*. A funny story about saying two names strung together…My nephew is named Grant. One afternoon someone in the family was calling them back inside, and it was “Hugh…Grant….Hugh…Grant”

What a great name!! Hayes is my grandmother’s maiden name and I’ve actually thought of this name for my future son. Hudson and Hayes go together so well!!

  17. Courtney says

I love the name- Hayes is a family name on my father’s side and when my husband and I start a family that’s what we want to name a little boy if we have one. Funny enough we currently live in NYC and our apt over looks the Hudson river so we always joke that if we have a second boy we want to name him Hudson!! Congrats!!
