1. I received a Michael Kors perfume sample in my latest Sephora order. It’s called Very Hollywood and it is very subtle and I am loving the scent! Might even have to buy some more!
2. Our blogging book club is currently reading Ree Drummond’s Black Heels to Tractor Wheels and I am completely sucked in. I love this story and she is a brilliant writer! We are currently reading Part Two of the book and will post questions for Part Two on Sunday night or Monday morning, so it’s not too late to start reading. It is such a quick read because it’s so good!
I am reading it on TC’s Kindle (and I am love love loving the Kindle) so I don’t have a pretty hard copy of the book, but Nina took this picture of what the book looks like without the jacket. Isn’t it pretty?
3. Have you see the Shop With Me button in my header? Are you using Ebates? Are you a member with Zulily, Totsy, The Mini Social, and lots of other flash sale sites? I have been a member for a while and just never thought to put buttons on my blog for everyone to use. But I have been stocking up on little boy clothes in all sizes because the prices are just amazing. And the toys are wonderful, too. Gilt also has a children’s section and you can find some wonderful baby gear, clothes, and toys for great prices! Click on Shop With Me for invites to all of these sites.
4. I’m getting ready to host a Willow House blog party! I am absolutely in love with so many of the Willow House items and the magazine deals are incredible. So I can’t wait to share it with all of you!
5. We recently got our Baby Jogger City Select and I am so excited. This is the greatest double stroller! I love that it can be a single or a double. I love that there are so many configurations for when using it as a double stroller.
I love that sweet Hudson won’t have to be sitting behind and underneath his baby brother, but instead can face out and sit in front. The Baby Jogger folks knew what they were doing when they designed this stroller. It is so light weight. I would recommend this for the primary stroller for anyone with just one child and then buy the kit for the second seat when your second child comes along. It is truly a great stroller! Look at all of the different configurations. And yes, we got the black stroller. I’m sure I’ll regret it when Boudreaux’s hair gets all over it, but I just like the black!
So the way this works is you buy the base model of the stroller and then to turn it into a double stroller, you buy the kit for the second seat. To have it hold your car seat, you buy the car seat adapter accessory. I also picked up the Baby Jogger parent console tray which includes a cup holder and some zipper pouches and I picked up the child snack tray for Hudson.
6. I have gotten a few questions lately about what car seat bag we use when traveling. We travel a lot and prefer to bring our own car seats with us rather than rent one when we arrive at our destinations. To keep our car seat safe from being damaged on the airplane, we have the Childress Car Seat Travel Bag. Love it. TC can wear it as a backpack– and we can cram my makeup bag or Hudson’s toys in the excess space. Or we can wheel the bag. Amazing!

Ooh, we JUST ordered that stroller!! I am SO SO excited! I love that it can be single or double, that way I can use it now, with just our one, and next year, when we (hopefully) have another, we can just get the second seat! I’m seriously giddy over the fact that my husbanc agreed with me on getting this! 🙂
I’m loving my City Select too!!! We got the black one too and the parent console with the ipod hook up and speaker and it’s great! We’ll be strolling in style!
I’m also loving Zulilly…they had Melissa and Doug toys for super cheap. It made my day!

I’m really wishing I would have purchased the City Select to use as our primary stroller when my daughter was born, now that we’re in the market for a double stroller. Would have worked better than the travel system we got and saved us a lot of money just to buy a second seat now!

I would love to have that, but totally not within our budget! Luckily, we don’t use strollers that much, so we are able to just save money there by buying something cheaper.
We’re getting the Baby Jogger City Select for our little one – I think it will be perfect for one and hopefully for two someday down the line! I know you’re super busy, but if you have the chance would you mind sharing which console you found and how it works for you? I’ve looked for one because I really want cupholders but I haven’t seen anything that will work with the City Select. Thanks so much!

That stroller is awesome! Im wondering how many different pieces for it do I have to buy for it to work with 2 children? Is the stroller alone $499 and then you have to buy all the separate pieces that go with it for it to work with 2 children? I am so confused but I really want it!!!

Well, I was loving the weather in Northern VA, but it seems that the recent bout of warm weather was a tease and now it is back to rainy and cold! But, my nine-month old is crawling around and pulling up, so I am loving the Fisher Price activity table. It keeps her entertained for at least a couple minutes – just long enough for mommy to check her email 😉
isn’t that funny how all the comments are pretty much about that stroller?! we broke down and bought one too in the diamond color though(looks lt khaki) since it was on sale(my dh is a sucker for sale). we have the black city mini and love it. the fabrics are actuallly washable, too, fyi. If you got the carseat adaptor (we have the chicco one), how is it fitting for you? it feels too loose for me without the safety strap and this bothers me!! b/c hello- $69??? and it wobbles. but we do seriously love this stroller!!

for once I’m actually loving the weather around me…Houston is NOT known for good weather, also loving the bird that arrived at our house on St Patrick’s Day – it flew into our yard (its a parakeet), made our dog crazy for a bit but they are now co-existing and the bird started chirping over the weekend
I LOVE that stroller and my husband and I spent about an hour looking at it in the store a few weeks ago. But we could not get the front seat to fit with a Graco infant car seat in the top position. It would only sit in the most fully upright position and even then it was hard to wedge the infant carrier in. We don’t know if it was just put together wrong or what. What kind of infant carrier do you have?

I am loving the City Select stroller too! I have a seven month old and it is so versatile. I love that it can transform into a double as well!
we got our city select when it first came out last spring – and there definitely wasn’t a child tray attachment then. i am so excited to find out there finally is one! i’m going online and ordering one right now! maybe now my one-year old will actually eat his lunch when we are at the park rather than crawl around on the blanket while i attempt to shove food in his mouth! 😉
what a cool stroller. I travel a lot as well but my daughter is still a lap child but soon she will be able to have her own seat. Do you get your little guy his own seat? and do you bring his car seat on?

I am so excited you got the BJ CS Stroller! I am in love with mine! i have the red one and just ordered my 2nd seat kit this week since I will be traveling with a friend and her baby ( one stroller is easier than 2)!! I am also really excited about all the new accessories coming out for it like the hair chair adapters and the boogey board for child #3! My friend @edwardsedition is also getting that stroller this week! I think the best drink holder for it is the one from liquid holster! I just did a post on “Pimping out my stroller” to show all the accessories and stuff.
