I’m back to tell it the way it is around here.
- There is too much going on for my liking. We have plans tonight and I don’t have a great attitude about it. But not because it won’t be fun. Just because I’d rather stay home and watch Dateline.
- My wonderful husband turns 31 tomorrow. Why does 31 sound so much older than 30 did? No offense to TC or to anyone else who is 31. I don’t think 31 is old, I just think it sounds a lot older than 31.
- I love my new iPhone. I knew I would, but those first few times took some getting used to. I do miss some things about my Blackberry.
- But I especially love the Wheels on the Bus app for toddlers. And so does Hudson! It saved us from a few airplane tantrums.
The pregnancy-caused pain is almost unbearable at night. I have gotten sore so much earlier this time than I did last time. My legs, my pelvis, my back. Ouchy wow wow. And every night I go to bed and am so thankful I can be off my feet. Thank goodness I’m in the third trimester because my countdown to delivery day has begun.- To celebrate, TC’s birthday tomorrow, we’re going to see Taken 2, also known as Unknown. Yay!
- And for his birthday dinner, he requested Bow Tie Fiesta and Not Yo Mama’s Banana Pudding. He could have had any home-made meal or restaurant meal he wanted and that’s what he chose? I love that he’s easy to please.
- Perhaps the above should have been one of TC’s “confessions.”
- Someone told me yesterday that I look “plump.” I love her dearly and I know without a doubt that she didn’t mean any harm by it. I just laughed and thanked her.
- I also heard from a few people that I look like I’m about to pop. That doesn’t hurt my feelings either except I wonder what they’ll say to me in another 10 weeks and I really am about to pop!
- I haven’t gotten my orange push ups yet, but I’m heading out today to pick them up when I pick up a few other things for the Oscar party.
- I did, however, eat Kellogg’s Corn Pops for about three non-breakfast meals this week. Then I kept saying, “Gotta have my Pops.” TC not only found this to be completely unfunny, but I’m pretty sure it drove him crazy.
- I have considered putting myself on bed rest in a couple of weeks, but I’m confident I won’t be able to find anyone to come take care of my daily duties and love on Hudson for free. Unless KK is ready to move in with us right now!
I hope you all have a great weekend!
you’re adorable. that’s all. 🙂
I can’t believe you’re as far along as you are… I remember when you broke the news to us! praying for your achey bod. 🙁 that’s no fun at all.
have a great weekend with your sweet hubby!
I too would rather spend my Friday nights at home watching Dateline!!! Have a fab weekend!
First of all, I LOVE Hudson’s non-matching pj’s. That happens to us…even if he goes to bed in a matching outfit, sometimes there will be a leaky diaper in the night or whatever and he ends up in random clothes!
Second, I hear ya on the second pregnancy/MUCH faster downhill slide into the aches and pains. My second pregnancy was killer in this area. I felt ancient, like everything hurt.
Finally, love these posts of yours! It can be hard to be straight-up and plain about our lives on the internets, but this actually encourages me that my life is normal! Thanks, dear!
Your Oscar party sounds amazing. I’m sure it will be tons of fun!
And not spoil anything but I’ve heard people call Unknown “Taken 2” but I saw it last weekend and it totally went in directions that I wasn’t expecting it too and was very different from Taken. All in good ways. Hope you enjoy it too!
Pregnant ladies are not “plump” or “about to pop”, they “glow”, “radiant”, “beam”…basically any term used use to describe a star in the sky. As do you! Hope you get some rest this weekend!
I love my new iphone too, but I agree with you that there’s things about my Blackberry that I miss, mainly the keyboard.
I’m feeling HUGE and pregnant right now, but everyone tells me I still look pretty small, so I can’t even imagine how I’m going to feel when I get to trimester 3 in a few weeks!
I love Corn Pops and almost bought some the other day. I’ve regretted not getting them ever since
(my car battery is dead–and baby is sleeping…can you tell im blog crazy and home bound?!)
My Nana told me I looked “so cute and plump” when I was pregnant. It definitely did NOT make my day. Although what’s worse, is now 5 months postpartum, getting told I look happy and healthy. I mean, that’s supposed to be a wonderful compliment…but I know that I never get the, “wow, you don’t look like you just had a baby!” comment EVER–soooo i get what they are saying. HA! Have a great weekend Erin 🙂
Ok, can you please tell me about this Bow Tie Fiesta? You may have posted about it before, but it seems like I’m always hearing people talk about it, but I don’t know how to make it. LOL. It must be good though!! 🙂
Your truth telling Fridays are pretty cute and adorable….if I did a truth telling Friday you would be thinking what a hot mess I am.
I am so jealous of your Oscar party..have fun!
Your little one is totally adorable! Amazing that young kids are so comfortable with iphones–makes me feel old, even at 30!
I am SO with you on this pregnancy pain! I am only 1 week ahead of you and I am counting the days. It’s hard when you’re chasing a toddler too – not nearly as much rest time as the last. Soon enough though – hang in there!!
just came across your blog! it’s seriously so great! what a cutie! congrats with the pregnancy!
Agreed with the age thing. I am about to turn 31…30 wasn’t a big deal…but, 31 is like “wow! I really am IN my 30’s!!” Eek!
Have you ever posted a recipe for the bow tie fiesta pasta? I would love it!
Have you tried going to a chiropractor for the pains? I went to one while I was pregnant and it was Heaven-Sent!!! 🙂
I just turned 32 and, I have to agree with how old it sounds/seems. I was clinging to 31 with all of my might, though!
Have a good one!
