what I'm loving today!

Greetings from Dallas and happy Friday to you!

After an eventful time at the airport and start to our flight yesterday, Hudson and I made it safe and sound. I wanted to share some fun things that I’m loving today. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Fisher Price Little People Nativity

Hudson has been playing with this adorable little nativity scene by Fisher Price. It’s so cute and he loves all of the characters.

Today Goes Viral

My mom and I were watching the Today Show this morning and watched Jenna Bush Hager’s piece on a viral video made by Canadian university students in one take.

The Today Show staff, and I mean everyone that works for the Today Show, recreated the music video in one take. Before the end, my mom and I were both teary-eyed! It’s not a sad video, we don’t know those people, but I guess the whole thing just made me so happy that I started crying.

I know, I know. (I also cry every single time I watch the You Tube video of the wedding where they came down the aisle to Chris Brown’s “Forever.”)

I also loved seeing so many of the staff members that are never ever on camera. So much fun!

LOVED THIS PIECE ON THE TODAY SHOW THIS MORNING. I watch them every single morning that I feel as if they are a part of my family. 🙂

Thanks for the link to the nativity scene. I have been wanting to purchase one for B:)

LOVE that Nativity scene for kidlets 🙂 Super cute! This video gave me goosebumps! haha! They looked like they had a blast filming it. This is the first I’ve heard of it.

I love that nativity scene! I bought the same one like two years ago, in anticpating a baby one day! 🙂 Yes, I am sort of crazy like that!!

LOVED THIS. The best part was the t-shirts 🙂 It’s really amazing to see how many people go into the making of a show. It reminded me of Jim and Pam’s wedding on the office, which is why I think I also teared up. 🙂 (don’t know if you watch the office, but they had a scene where all of the characters were dancing down the aisle to that song).

I know what you mean about the teary-eyed video viewing…I’ve watched the Pink Glove Dance for breast cancer awareness video on YouTube a few times now, and every single time I end up in tears — and it is a great video!

Sorry..hit send before I meant to…it is just really great to see that many people come together for a worthy cause, even if all they are doing is dancing with pink gloves to raise awareness!

    That Nativity scene is precious!

I *love* that Today show video! I’ve watched it about 5 times. It makes me teary, too. Something about the obvious fun everyone was having and how much work went into it was inspiring. Plus, there was such a “team effort” feel to it. It made me want to apply to work on the “Today” show, lol. LOVED the shirts, too!!!

I cry every time they make something so many participate in. I also cry at the Oprah show on the holiday favorite things! Are you watching?????
Well…off to get that adorable nativity toy!

Liam has the nativity (& the Inn at Bethlehem) too, and just loves them! Is it bad that I feel a little guilty when he throw the baby Jesus across the room, though? I feel silly when I pick it up and hand it to him and tell him that’s not the way we treat Jesus. But it’s precious, isn’t it?

Oh my gosh I got teary-eyed watching that segment too!! I was so embarrassed (even though I was by myself) and wondering why I was crying haha! I’m glad I’m not alone. That’s too funny.

That was awesome! I got teary too – weird. Brian Williams was the BEST part – love him and his attempts to “dance.” I cannot believe that did that in one take – amazing!

Also love that there are SOOO many female producers – kind of cool.

    So fun!!

I have been meaning to ask you….how is your mom doing? I know she had some testing done recently with her oncologist….right? She’s in my thoughts and prayers.

Have fun with your family while visiting! I love the nativity idea…I want to instill good Godly things into Connor’s life as well and that is a fun toy! My family is driving from AR to Dallas today to come see us and I’m so excited. I’ll fly home in Dec. to go see them…you can definitely give me some pointers on how to deal with a baby in an airport and on a plane. I am most nervous about bringing bottles and breastmilk on the plane b/c I can NOT dump it out! Anyways have a fab trip deary 🙂

Our Hudson got one of those last year! He loves it and still plays with it. It is one of the cutest things I have ever seen! Little People has tons of cute different play sets online.

I loved that video! And it made me cry, too. I love that kind of stuff. I think it’s just the feelings of how everyone gets together and makes something like that happen. It’s lovely. 🙂

That video had me laughing so hard! It must have been a blast to film! Hope you have a fabulous time in Dallas. I am so anxious to be back in Texas next week!

I saw this video today too and absolutely loved it. It definitely made my day and the Today show seems like such an amazing place to work! I also love Jenna Bush, she is adorable!

I hadn’t seen the Today Show video yet. That was fun! I can’t help but tap my feet when I hear that song. My cousin & his wife used it as their “wedding party intro” song at their reception last summer. Makes me smile. 🙂

Okay, I am *so* glad that Today show thing made someone else cry! I felt like a total weirdo yesterday morning. And I don’t have pregnancy hormones to blame!

I missed that one. I did see the part where they were in the clear boxes with all of the ping-pong balls. I might have to youtube it. Love love love the nativity scene. I see one in Wyatt’s future!

I bought this nativity set for my son a week or so ago, and he loves it! I wasn’t sure if he would really enjoy it this year, but he has plays with it all the time. I’m so glad that I bought it.

FYI – The nativity set is on sale for $13.99 at Target. I think today might have been the last day though. I don’t have children, but I couldn’t pass it up! Just wanted to let you know that I love your blog and have been keeping up with it for a couple yrs now. You will have to let me know if you go to Market with your Mother again or if you are in Houston stop by my store. We carry a lot of the brands you like. 🙂 Hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving!
