gyros, baklava, and a little dancing machine named Hudson

We went to the Greek Festival with some of our friends from Sunday school on Friday night. It was great to catch up with them. Life has been so busy lately and the summer always leaves people with different schedules so it’s hard to get together. We had some great Greek food and then Hudson was ready to “get down” out of his stroller.

I couldn’t really let him walk around the festival because he’s kind of a wild man. But I had seen a big dance floor under a tent when we arrived and lots of kids were playing under there. So I decided to take Hudson back to the tent to see if he’d just run around under there.

He did more than run around! The boy was feeling the rhythm. As soon as he heard the music, he couldn’t contain himself. My sweet friends were able to get a little bit of video for us and I’m so happy they did!

Hudson did this dancing bit for at least half an hour. He just wouldn’t stop. His little cheeks were so red and he was having the time of his life. The funniest part was that he had his Baby Einstein DVD case (his newest security blanket) and wouldn’t put it down the whole time he was dancing!

It was a great weekend in college football. We had lots of fun at the game and I got to see a fun blog friend! This world is so small! Ashley was sitting right behind me at the game and came over to say hello.

The Gamecocks had some scary moments, but we won and we’re even more excited to go play Auburn next weekend. TC has never been to Auburn and it’s one of my favorite away games, so I can’t wait! And how about the Auburn/Clemson game? We got home from our game just in time to see the end Β and TC and I had to really control ourselves to stop from screaming and jumping around the house. We were so excited!

I hope y’all had a great weekend. We had a hard time getting out of bed this morning, but Hudson is at school (hopefully having a great time) and I’m folding mountains of laundry.

That video is to DIE for precious! And you look fabulous, Erin. So fabulous that I’m going to ignore the “jumping and screaming” reaction to our heart-breaker of a game…

Yesssss, I love toddler dancing! My nephew Liam starts groovin’ whenever that iPad commercial featuring the piano app comes on. It is flat-out hilarious, and just impossible not to be in a good mood when he’s boppin’ around. Now, even home alone, whenever that commercial comes on I just grin!

There are few baby things I find more adorable than the Mini New Balance Sneakers! I love his quick feet – he’s a maaaaaaaaaaaniac! maaaaaaaaaaniac! on the floor!

Hey! Is that a Target Tucker shirt? If so, I have it also! Um, Erin, watching Hud’s little booty shake in his New Balances is dangerous, I tell you! When I see him in his lion costume, it’s going to be trouble! Let the baby fever commence! Hee.

That video is precious! I love Hudson dancing and then whenever another kid got too close, he’d stop and look at them like, “My dance space…. your dance space…. there is plenty of room for all of us.”

Have fun at Auburn next weekend! I went there last year to watch WVU play them (sadly, it monsoon-rained and WVU left defeated) but Auburn is a beautiful little town! I hope ya’ll beat the pants off of Auburn though. They’re heads are a tad (wayy) too big!

ooohhhhh my goodness, that little booty shaking is too adorable for words!! I love how he would follow the bigger boys around with his eyes too πŸ™‚

I can’t think of anymore words to describe the cuteness quotient of this video, so I will tell you this: when the vid first starts, he looks just like your father. Usually I see your husband in Hudson’s looks, but this time, I see your dad very strongly. (I’ve seen a pic or two of him on your blog.)

There’s nothing like the pure innocence you see on a child’s face.

So glad I got to meet you! And I hope to bump into you again next time we’re sitting in those seats! : ) We listened to the Auburn game on the way home and were SO excited! What a great ending! I’m already geared up for this weekend! GO COCKS!

What a cute video!!! He looks so amazed by the other kids too. My parents have a video of my sister when she was about that age, maybe a little older, and she was spinning in circle to the music. Every once in a while she would fall over, but just get back up and start again. I vaguely remember it and just laughing the whole time (we’re 10 yrs apart).
