mom style monday! {my fall wish list for mom and toddler}

I don’t plan to make too many purchases this year. I love fall clothes and try to buy really comfortable things every year that 1. look nice, 2. are baby-friendly (meaning I can get down on the floor with Hudson and when I hold him on my hip it doesn’t make my clothes look funky), and 3. are fairly timeless.

I love sweaters, jeans, sweater dresses, leggings, draped sweaters and cardigans. I like ease and comfort. I like fun accessories and warm, rich colors.

This year I’ll probably pick up a couple more sweaters, some things I can wear for church on Sundays or meals out. But I’ll mostly be focusing on shoes. I bought lots of fall pumps last year and lots of flats, but a lot of the flats are worn out.

So here is my list of items that I’m planning on saving for this fall. And also some fun, adorable things for Hudson that I can’t resist!

Lands End Women’s Favorite Riding Boot

I am so excited about these boots! My sweet friend Rachel blogged about them a couple of weeks ago and I fell in love. I can’t wait to wear them with jeans, leggings, and dresses. They look so soft and I’m hopeful they’ll fit over my biggish calves.

Franco Sarto Fame flats via Nordstrom for $89.98

I love a good flat. I can’t be running around my house chasing a toddler in heels. I also can’t carry him in heels. He weighs 30 pounds and I’m clumsy. Are you getting a mental picture of the possible catastrophe?

Lands End Canvas Sweater Coat

This is just so cozy and I love things that come down longer so I can cozy up in a great sweater.

J.Crew Tie Front Cardigan

This sweater is more light-weight, but it’s pretty and feminine and open so I can layer it.

Ragsland Apple Truck Appliqued Longall

Ragsland has precious clothes and this one is reversible. And it screams “back to school!”

Funtasia Too Dog and Bones Longall

Oh my word! I am obsessed with these longalls! Hudson loves dogs and I just think they’re adorable.

Blessed be the Name Sand Cord Playall

It’s so cute and soft-looking! And do y’all recognize the little boy in the photo as Darby’s adorable baby boy?

Moms, what are you wearing this fall? What’s on your wish list?

I love all of the clothes/shoes featured! I die over those boots, they look so similar to the Frye Mellissa button boots. I can’t wait to be all cozy in sweaters & leggings this year! Come on Fall, grace us with your presence!!!

Ever since Rachel posted those boots I’ve been in love! I have a pair of brown riding boots that are still going strong, but I know I’m going to be so tempted to buy those! That JCrew cardi is in my online shopping cart as we speak!
Love the little dog outfit for Hudson!

Based on the previous commenters, it looks like these boots are going to be pretty popular this fall! Each year out PTA reimburses us for $100 on stuff we’ve bought for the classroom. I can’t wait to get my check in a few weeks. You know what I’ll be putting it towards!

Those boots are gorgeous. If you do get them, will you let us know about the calves issue? I have huge calves (and tiny ankles). Boots and I don’t always get along.

I love the sweater coat! Perfect for lounging and running errands! Just picturing wearing the sweater coat, having a cup of hot chocolate, a blanket, and curled up with a good book from the blog book club!

I would do anything to wear a sweater and botts right now. I realllly need a pair of flat boots! Right now my options are cute boots with heels or Uggs. I need a pair of comfy/cute boots without a heel that I can dress up or dress down. Oh, and the J. Crew Cardigan is so cute!! Love it!

I love the J. Crew cardi. It looks lightweight and feminine, which isn’t always the case for fall/winter items. It may have to go into my basket. They do ship internationally now (thank the Lord).

For my Fall wardrobe I have several staples: great black leggings, pointy-toe flats, a few flirty dresses, colorful jewelry (I picked up some in South Korea this weekend), Hermes scarves, and long, flattering sweaters.

My daughter just received a big box of back-to-school necesseties from Gap, Crew Cuts, and Old Navy, the scallywag will be in between his longalls and cords (with some Tom’s maybe), and Husband just picked up a new casual blazer and button-down shirts. He loves him some button-down shirts!

Happy early Fall from Tokyo! It’s not too different from our homes in the South.

I looooooove those boots!!! It is so hard for me to find boots to fit over my calves so let me know how those fit! Love your blog by the way!!

Where are you finding good leggings? I loved my maternity ones, but have had a hard time finding cute regular ones. Probably doesn’t help that I am short…

Mmmm, those boots are great! I would love to have those. I have all these cute pumps and fun shoes, but between teaching and chasing a toddler, I don’t get to wear them that often. Last fall/winter, I was on the hunt for the perfect flat boot and ended up with a gray pair so I might have to add those to my closet! And I love the long, layering sweaters, too…I keep eyeing mine, waiting for the weather to cool down!

I love the Lands End boots! I ams thinking about buying them but go back and forth worried about how they would fit. Enjoy!

I think I need to order those flats and the sweater from jcrew! Why did you have to post these, now I cant quit thinking about them!! Ahhh! LOVE! And those outfits for huddy are darling!

Yikes! It’s just too weird when two favorite blogs collide like that. It’s kinda like when Laverne and Shirley went on a double date with Fonzie and Richie (before your time, you might not get that reference – sorry!)

Anyway, I love your fashion posts the most and this one did not disappoint. The riding boots and the big sweater are AMAZING! Can’t wait to see you post a pic of yourself in them!
