We really didn’t do too much this weekend. You can guess what we did on Friday night. That’s right. We watched Dateline: The Secret Life of the Homecoming Queen. Whoa- it was a good one.
On Saturday, Todd had to get a lot of work done and I needed to run a few errands that aren’t easy while carrying a baby. I had to go to Kinkos, UPS, and I was going to get my nails done. I know, that’s not really an errand, but it was something I wanted to do.
So we loaded up the pack ‘n play, the portable DVD player, some Baby Einstein, and we set up a temporary nursery and play area at TC’s office for a few hours. I ran around to take care of everything and while I was gone, TC sent this picture to me from his phone. (Sorry about the super small size) So funny!
We were all home just a little after lunch time and we were all ready for naps! (I always get back in my pajamas) I usually crave something cold and sweet when I wake up from a nap, so I went to get a Blue Bell Fruit Pop. I’ve found that any time I eat something lately, Hudson is right up in my face trying to get a taste of whatever I’m eating. He really wanted that fruit bar and Boudreaux and Fiona weren’t backing down either.
Then somehow, they switched places…
Yesterday we went to church and Sunday school and then came home to relax for a while. The LOST series finale was last night and it was a really intense evening. They had a two-hour recap show with cast interviews and did their best to recap six years worth of seasons in two hours.
I thought the finale was wonderful. It was sad and happy. There were a lot of chilling moments. I definitely think that they did everything they could to bring closure to the show. I’ve been watching the show since it premiered in 2004 and can’t believe that it’s done. Nothing can replace it.
My friend, Megan, posted a link to this great recap and explanation on Twitter this morning. So if you missed it and want to read about it, here it is. Or if you watched it and just want to hear what someone else thinks, it’s a great link.
SPOILER ALERT:
I’m so happy to know that everything on the island did happen and that Jack really did save everyone from the Man in Black. I loved seeing them all together again in heaven (or where ever they are in fictional TV land) and happy.
The end definitely surprised me. I wasn’t sure where they were going with the alternate reality, but I’m happy that they chose to make that purgatory instead of making life on the island purgatory.
Did you watch? What did you think?
Dancing With The Stars ends tomorrow night. Who will you vote for tonight? I’m totally using as many votes as I can for Erin and Maks.
Also, The Bachelorette premieres tonight. I love to watch a good train wreck reality show like this. I never miss a season of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. I really like Ali and I don’t believe for a second that any part of these shows are reality. Sorry- I read too much Reality Steve to believe that these people find true love and that none of it is scripted by the producers. But I’ll definitely be watching and coming up with snarky comments!

Yay 🙂 Love the pics of Hud and the dogs!
Can’t wait to see The Bachelorette tonight … loved LOST, as you well know 🙂
I’m so glad you had a nice weekend! Love the pics of Hud and the pups 🙂
Big Aunnie hugs on this Monday morning!!
Great picture of you and Hudson…I am so mad I missed that Dateline..it looked like a good one. Your dogs seem so good around Hudson…I am praying Elvis loves my little girl once she arrives.
Thanks to all of your tweeting about Dateline, the U and I most definitely watched it on Friday night… and it did not disappoint 🙂
Love the pictures of Hudson licking your fruit pop, too cute!! 🙂 Erin and Maks are my favorite too and I’m going to vote, vote, vote! 🙂 Yay! 🙂
Love the earrings you are wearing! I change into my pj pants almost immediately after getting home. I just hate to feel constricted by jeans or whatever it is that I am wearing.
I loved LOST but I am left with more questions and am slightly confused. Overall great ending to a great show!!!
Hudson looks so cute with his Popsicle!!!
Does it look like I see a new LV bag on someone’s shoulder. I am wanting a new one, but can’t decide.
Loved all the weekend pics. And so bummed that I didn’t hop on the Lost bandwagon from the beginning 🙁 Feel like I missed out on a part of history, haha!!
Lady that teal color is just so pretty on you! And I’m the same way re: pajamas. As soon as I get home I change out of my “work clothes” and put on pj bottoms. So much more comfy!
Hi Erin,
I’m always read your blog but never commented before. You family is so adorable, dogs included!
I just caught a glimpse of your couch and I was so excited because my husband and I have the same one! I also laughed to myself because you are eating a fruti pop while laying the couch and I swore when we bought ours that we would never eat on them. 1 year later we eat anything and everything while on that couch! I just lvoe it so much, don’t you? Do you ever consider changing up the pillows? I figured when I’m sick of the green and brown I can always change them up.
Cute, cute pictures! Hudson is getting so big! And although I have never watched Lost, I am always down for DWTS and the Bachelor/bachelorette…if my television choices are shallow I don’t want to be deep!
I hope they found some good/funny guys for Ali! We’ll know soon enough. 🙂
He is so precious. Love that…I want a bit NOW shot!
Hi Erin, I’ve been a longtime reader of your lovely blog, but have never commented. I really enjoy your posts!!
The pictures of Hudson and your pups while you were eating your fruit pop had me laughing out loud! Soo cute! If you don’t mind, may I ask what size your LV Stresa is (the PM or GM?) and where you purchased your orange/grey PJ pants?
Aw, love the pics of Hudson going for the fruit pop. You’re in trouble now!
I thought the LOST finale was awesome. It was touching and lovely in every way. They didn’t asnwer all the questions, but left it open perfectly for interpretation while still giving closure. I lost it and started bawling when Vincent laid down with Jack. The Sawyer Juliet moment was beuatiful too. I’m going to miss LOST, for sure.
i am so behind on lost…i stopped watching after season 4 (i think that’s the one) and now i have to get all caught up before i watch the finale. and i love train-wreck shows like the bachelor, too, although i must say that when jake picked vienna i thought he was an idiot. or maybe i’m the idiot for caring. i dunno.
{SPOILER ALERT}
I thought Lost was awesome! I was definitely caught off guard in the last ten minutes though. But like you I was glad that they made the alternate reality purgatory as opposed to the island.
I loved loved loved the way they ended the way the show began, and I thought having Vincent there was really touching. Throughout the whole thing I thought every single one of the reunion moments where the characters remembered the island was really amazing. The episode definitely did not disappoint!
I read reality steve, too. It’s hard NOT to. But, of course, I will still watch it. I loved Ali on the bach. We shall see. And I vote for Maks & Erin EVERY single week. I hope they win!
Little Hudson, Fiona, and Boudreaux are just too much! Your home is full of adorable babies!
And LOST…so sad that it’s over. But I am sort of glad to have closure. It’s like finishing a great book. It’s one of my most favorite bittersweet feelings!
Oh…and one last thing…I am ALWAYS in my pajamas at home. It’s usually the first thing I do when I walk in the door!
I am using all my votes for Erin, too. I’ve got to support my fellow Gator!
Love the pictures!!! Too cute!
The first thing I do when I walk in the door is put on my sweatpants and a big t-shirt! I hate nights I have to be somewhere and have to stay in my real clothes!!
I am also a huge bachelor/bachelorette fan. It’s the best entertainment out there!!
That popsicle looks good! Such cute photos!
Soooo many things to think about on Lost. I saw it as they all died at impact. Then they saw their lives (the show) of what it would be like if they had made it to LAX (without crashing) and what would have happened if they survived the crash. I taped Jimmy Kimmel live and can’t wait to watch that.
Haha, the picture of Hudson and your dog switching places is hilarious! So cute!
Totally agree with the adorableness of the pic of hudson and the pup switching places. Do I spy a LV bag on your shoulder?
Luuurve that pic of you at H at the top
of the post! Beautiful!
