Remember this post where I showed y’all the house plans I love?
Do you see the first sentence in the above paragraph?
I’d like to share a little spousal conversation with you.
Erin: I want to show you some of the house plans I found that I posted on my blog. I don’t think I’ve shown all of them to you.
TC: You mean the “Amazingness” plans? Is that what they’re called?
Erin: Well, it’s Acadian style. Is that what you mean?
TC: No, you said it was “Amazingness.” I wouldn’t forget that.
Erin: (dying laughing) I made that up! It was the best description I could find to express the way I felt about the Acadian or Country French style!
TC: Well, I never know what you Louisiana people are talking about. I mean, we named our dog Boudreaux, so I figured “Amazingness” was what it’s really called.
I’d like to go ahead and apologize to anyone else who really thought that the houses I posted are really called South Louisiana Amazingness Style. But if that’s really what you thought it was, you may not want to admit it! (still laughing)

Waay funny, haha! 🙂
My rabbits name was boudreaux! We do say crazy things! Do you say hose pipe instead of garden hose?
Hysterical! I thought it was clear as could be. 🙂 But yet, I also think “Amazingness” is a perfectly suitable adjective!
Being from Acadiana, I find this to be seriously hilarious! I also think that the houses are pure amazingness:)
i believe that amazingness is a perfectly acceptable word. :o)
This is hilarious and it’s pretty adorable that your husband reads your blog!
That’s totally the sort of convo my hubby and I have on a regular basis! Tee hee! 🙂
Isn’t it funny when the spouse reads the blog and picks up on something like that! My fiance called me the other day at work to ask me something about my blog post. I was like, “YOU READ MY BLOG?” Apparently! Good thing I found out since I was planning on posting about my wedding dress, and now I won’t!
That is a cute story!
that’s so funny! i, being born and raised in la, knew exactly what you meant!
That is hilarious! BTW, as I read your post on airplane etiquette Brian was also reading it over my shoulder. He could not have agreed with you more! Being a frequent flyer himself, he even added a few of his own “rules.” I had to chuckle.
Hilarious! Hope the home selling process is going well!
i think it is a perfectly acceptable word, love the conversation!
…..and I’ll admit that I’ve been reading Boudreaux as Bourdeaux…….thinking it was clever he was named after wine:-D.
I adore the fact that Boudreaux equals amazingness in Todd’s view of Louisiana words. Seriously, cracks me up!
Ha! 😉
Text to my husband regarding my 2 1/2 year old’s gymnastics:
Me: Andrew’s gymnastic’s class will be on Tues. at 6:30
Husband: Would that be a.m. or p.m.
Me: Seriously?
Husband: I’m confused.
At that point I called him. I mean who would take a 2 1/2 year old to gymnastics at 6:30 a.m.? And we live 20+ minutes from the gym.
Oh my gosh, haha, my husband would do the SAME THING! He is an attorney too…it must have something to do with their legal brains.
hahahahahaha!!! Sounds like a conversation around here.
Priceless!
That’s hysterical!!!
I think it’s more a “girl talk” or possible blogger talk. I’ve never been to Louisiana, but I knew exactly what you meant, lol.
Love it!! I’m always making up words and hubs can never keep up! Oh lordy! What are we going to do with these men!?!
