oh, the places we've been

In honor of our anniversary trip, I wanted to take a trip down memory lane to remember the other vacations we’ve taken together.

We travel to Dallas a lot, but don’t take photos very often. Except for when we’re at the Arboretum.

We went to Savannah for our 1 year anniversary last year, but I was 36 weeks pregnant and we didn’t take a single picture. On purpose.

What are your favorite memories of traveling with your significant other?

    We love to travel too…
My favorite trips have been a summer trip to Mt. Rushmore & Yellowstone where we did a rafting trip, Chicago, Savannah & Disney World, snowmobiling in West Yellowstone, skiing in Indiana, Daytona Beach -Wow! there are so many more but the best thing is just experiencing a new place or doing something new and fun with my best friend and love of my life -my sweet hubby!

My fiance’ and I go to Florida every Spring and we LOVE it. For our honeymoon, we’ll be going to Hawaii! We’ve both been there before, but this will be our first time going together. Can’t wait!

Hope you’re having a blast in NYC.

    XOXO,
    Minnesota Girl

Well, I love to travel, but unfortunately, don’t do too much traveling these days with 2 kids, but… as a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling in our 6 years together. We have visited…
On our Honeymoon, we took a week long road trip to Florida and we hit a lot of different places along the way… here are a few:
    Gatlinburg and Pidgeon Forge, TN
Jeckyll Island, GA, St. Augustine, FL, Key West, FL, Siesta Key, FL, Orlando, FL
We have also traveled to… Honolulu, HI, Maui, HI, Lancaster, PA, Wisconsin Dells, WI, Indianapolis, IN, Nashville and McMinnville, TN, Hershey, PA, and Chicago, IL. My husband’s church has a fall festival every year and because of this, we have been fortunate enough to take several very nice trips. And… this fall, we are hoping to go to Daytona Beach! Keeping my fingers crossed! πŸ™‚

Our honeymoon in Napa was pretty fantastic, but we had a trip to Baton Rouge/New Orleans a few years ago that I’ll never forget….probably because the weather at home delayed all of our flights and we ended up only getting to Memphis & having to drive the rest of the way!!

That color pink/purpose looks fabulous on you. It really makes your eyes pop. Which sounds so corny and like I’m trying to pick you up… but it really does make your eyes look blue-er.

Cute post! I might have to steal this idea around my anniversary!

We’ve been to Disney 3 times, a cruise, Baltimore, Vegas, and Boston. I think that’s all of them!

I am pretty sure you’ve mentioned in the past that you don’t love your curly hair but I think your hair looks fantastic no matter how you wear it. That makes me jealous! And gah, you are so photogenic!

Such a fun post. Ya’ll have been so blessed to go to so many wonderful places together and it’s awesome when you marry someone that loves to travel just as much as you do!! πŸ™‚

Love the pictures. Since my husband is in the Army and we are living in Germany the past year has been full of fun trips. We have been to London, Paris, Venice, Naples, Prague, a few cities in Greece, Croatia, Malta, and Austria. Crazy, I know but we want to travel before we have kids and it’s so cheap to travel when you live here. πŸ™‚

my hubby and I mostly vacation on the Washington and Oregon coast.. we’ve never been on a “long” trip together. I think our most memorable trip, was our first vacation together we got stuck in the sand when hubby drove out on the beach, after I happened to tell him that the sand didn’t look stable enough for driving. We had to walk to a gas-station to find a phone because we had no reception… and pay like $60 bucks to have the car pulled out… def. something we can laugh at now!

You are both so photogenic! I’m jealous. πŸ™‚ My favorite trip would be a tie between South Beach when my husband proposed and our Oregon honeymoon.

Every year my husband and I find ourselves going back to Charleston, SC. The people are so friendly, the food is great, the weather is perfect, and the beaches are pristine.

    ps…Love all of your pics..beautiful!

You know what I love? That your style has been so classic throughout all these years, seriously! You don’t look dated at all! Love it!

Love your pictures, you look really pretty in all of them. Mr E and I haven’t taken any major trips together yet, I think our first one will be our honeymoon/trip back home to Africa in July. Looking forward to travelling together and all the many years of trips to come!

I LOVE traveling with my husband. We’ve been on lots of trips and each one has been a great experience, from South Dakota to Italy. My favorite thing is when we go off on a mini adventure to some odd place. When in Puerto Vallarta, we got on a bus and headed down the coast a bit, ending up in the cutest little town, with far fewer tourists. The place we went for lunch had some of the best food ever!

Oh love all the pictures! You guys look so cute! I love traveling with my husband & have so many great memories of going places together!

Brian is a HUGE music freak, so we tend to wander around the South for different concerts.

Our best trip together, by far, was to Atlanta last summer to see Paul McCartney. It was an amazing trip where we left it all behind and really just enjoyed each other’s company without worrying about work and the baggage back home. Well, it was amazing except for when I drove us THREE(!!) hours out of the way in the middle of Alabama on the way home! Oops!

  18. says

Before we had our daughter we used to go camping and hiking at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine every summer. Such great memories!

    Happy Anniversary!

Great pics! You two make such a cute couple. Your eyes are the most gorgeous color of blue! Beautiful! I think it’s cute how your eyes match your husband’s tie in that one photo.

We don’t travel much these days with 2 little ones, just visit our families in Houston every so often. But in our past lives we loved to travel. We honeymooned hiking to Machu Picchu, we climbed Kilimanjaro together, have been to South Africa and Swaziland too. Also, lots of trips out west to see my husband’s brothers and extended family.

Cute post, love all the pictures!

Erin, do you and your husband exchange gifts on your anniversary, or just take a trip instead? I’m coming up on my first wedding anniversary and am having the hardest time figuring out what to give my husband. Would love to hear your ideas/thoughts! πŸ™‚

Also: We live in NYC and hope you had a great time during your trip here!!
