my Golden Globe high

I’m just elated after last night’s Golden Globe awards! Y’all know I’m obsessed with Glee. It’s brilliantly written, the singers are fantastic, and it gives me my Broadway and pop music fix every week.

Well two of my favorite things of the night were:

1) The beautiful Lea Michele in her fantastic Oscar de la Renta gown. Some people say she should have worn a more age appropriate dress, but geez. For her first Golden Globes appearance, I say, “bravo” to Lea. Strut that big Oscar masterpiece! She looked fantastic. It’s a shame she can’t just walk around singing all the time. I’d listen!

2.) Glee won the Golden Globe for Best Musical or Comedy Television Series. I hope this means that Glee is here to stay. Good thing Jay Leno isn’t on FOX!

My new obsession (I’m late to this party), Mad Men, won top honors in its category. So it was a pretty great night! It’s wonderful to see so many beautiful gowns in one location!

I also LOVE glee. I fell in love with Lea Michelle’s voice when I saw her in Spring Awakening on Broadway. Ever since I’ve followed her career and I’m so glad we get to see how talented she is on a weekly basis. I can’t wait to see Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff join the cast this spring. The suspense is killing me!

i was watching the GGs last night, sean was cleaning the bathroom. he came out after an award was given and said “what was that for”, my response, “i have no idea”, “well aren’t you sitting here watching it?”, “well yes but i’m not really listening, i am only paying to attention to what they are wearing!” i know this doesn’t surprise you in any way, me not paying attention and all.

Lea had my FAVORITE dress. OhMyGosh! i LOOOOOOOOOOOVED it and those green emerald earrings, to die for! reminded me of the SATC episode where petrovsky got oscar to make carrie that special pink dress! it was that special moment! well done!

What a great shot of the Glee cast. I am a HUGE fan– what’s not to like!? Also, I loved Sandra Bullock’s dress, but it’s getting mixed reviews. What do you think??

I am a total Gleek, it takes me back to my days as a STAR in high school musicals..ha. I also thought Lea’s dress was the best, it is too bad that people thought it was not age appropriate, because I thought it was at once stunningly gorgeous and so classic!

Age inappropriate? Sheesh. I think she did a great job with that dress. It’s stunning and timeless. Plus, she it’s not like she’s THAT young.

GLEEE!!!! Was so happy that this show one. Totally deserved it!!! And Mad Men is probably the best drama on television now after Sopranos. It really is wonderful. It does take time to grow with. It’s not like LOST that just sucks you in after the first 1/2 hour! So give it like 3 episodes and you will be hooked!

I just started in on Mad Men too… I have half a season left until I’m all caught up. It’s so good. SO GOOD!! LOVE IT!
I also like Glee too, and so happy they won 🙂

Word on the street is that the guy who plays Mr. Shuster (Matthew Morrison? Suddenly can’t remember his name!) just signed his own record deal! I’m so glad the show is experiencing so much success!
