good tidings of great joy!

I’m so excited to reveal our Christmas card to you! Last year, the beautiful and talented Nina of According to Nina designed a precious card for us. We were expecting our first baby at the time and had announced the news by then, but were still reluctant to put it on the card. It was also fun to have our first card be just about the two of us!

This year, there are three of us (five including the dogs) and I’m just overwhelmed by the difference a year makes. The amount of love in our house has increased exponentially. Hopefully everyone that should have received a card in the mail has received it already and this post isn’t ruining the surprise for you.

I wrote the text and selected the photos, then sent the text to the fabulous Tracy Β Turpen. She designed and printed the card for us. And she never told me that she thought my cheesy text was, in fact, cheesy.

Did you send out Christmas cards this year? Don’t you think receiving Christmas cards is one of the greatest things about Christmas time? We’ve got a giant bowl on our table full of Christmas cards. I’m so excited to hear from so many friends this time of year!

Very cute card, I love it!

We sent outs out (we used a wedding photo) a week ago. Everyone loved it and I’ve been enjoying getting cards from everyone else! We keep them in a bowl too!

I love the card! The wording is great. We are sending out our Christmas cards tomorrow. We do cards every year. Last year, we used a photo from our wedding, since we got married in Mid November. This year, we did a photo shoot for our first anniversary and used one of those photos. I love Christmas cards!

I love your card!! Who doesn’t love cheesy wording for Christmas cards?! I also love receiving Christmas cards too, it’s one of my favorite parts of Christmas!

That card is classy and wonderful! You three look great. We definately send out Christmas cards. We have a garland going up the banister where we clip the cards. We save the photo ones from year to year. I keep them in an album. It is fun to look at the pictures from years past.

Ditto previous comments…so darling! Taking such a personal approach to your Christmas card really makes it all the more special! And that little boy….*gasp*! Just want to squeeze him!! πŸ˜‰
(Love the shoes too! I’ve wanted those for months! Great choice for the pic!)

SO adorable! The baby toesies… the Nanettes… SWOON! And I don’t think your text is cheesy at all – I love it!

Christmas cards are my favorite – ours are all displaying in a big window in the living room on ribbon – and when we get to my grandparents’ home, I’ll spend at least an hour, cuddled up by the fire, looking through all of theirs!

I don’t think your card text is cheesy at all…it fits perfectly with that picture of little baby toes!! Very adorable. I always send Christmas cards and yes, getting them is a highlight of Christmas for me. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten a lot fewer this year. Don’t know if it’s the economy and people are cutting out “non-necessities”, but I sure miss getting at least one every day in the mail. Merry Christmas!

love your card, thanks for sharing! We (I) sent out cards this year – not a photo card, maybe next year. I did write a note in each one, some longer than others. I love getting cards in the mail and reading them and seeing the photos. I want to keep this year’s and pull them out next year to see how much the kids have grown over the year, for those that send me photos of the kiddos each year. I tried to do it this year but the box that last year’s cards were in seem to have gotten lost in our move πŸ™

Christmas cards are a favorite thing of mine, and when I go to my parents I look through my mom’s to see what her friends and my extended family are up to.

That is really, really cute! I love receiving Christmas cards too, but it has also been fun that so many bloggers have been putting them up online… it’s like a double dose!
