Hudson turned 4 months old on Monday and we just had his 4 month appointment yesterday. He got two shots and got weighed and measured. He weighs a whopping 18.1 lbs and measures 26 3/4 inches long. His height and weight put him above the 95th percentile. We know he’s growing!

Here are his latest milestones:
Hudson still loves to be upright.
He is rolling over all the time– in all directions (left to right, right to left, Â back to front and front to back)
He pushes up when it’s time to get out of his carseat. His little legs stiffen and he almost pushes up on his own.
He is babbling all the time! Such a great sound.
He blows little raspberries and enjoys hearing himself spit.
We’ve heard a giggle twice now– and shamefully it was when Todd and I were singing “Rump Shaker” to him.
And our pediatrician encouraged us to go ahead and feed our big boy some rice cereal with a spoon. He was a bit confused, but he liked it. He made a huge mess, of course, but that’s all part of the fun!

Erin – I cannot get over how cute Huddy is! I have a friend who had a baby girl the day before you had Hudson and her baby is 15lbs 1oz. Hudson is such a happy, healthy little baby boy – I just know you and TC are proud!
He is absolutely adorable- I love that he giggled to Rump Shaker! You need to get that on video next time 🙂

He is just too precious! Amazing how much he grew in just one short month. How lucky you are to be able to stay home with him – imagine how much you can miss when he changes so quickly. One thing didn’t change though – he’s just as cute as ever. Enjoy your handsome boy!

My fil was a family practice physician, and he always told me that the “rule for weight” equal “age in months” + 11 lbs. Which I would think would be the average, i.e. 7 lbs baby would weigh on average. So mine were always a bit bigger at birth (like Hudson) and they were pretty close, but a bit over. I don’t know that 17 lbs at 3 months is that abnormal taking into account for size that alot of babies start out (9 or 10 lbs) these days.
