it's my anniversary! here's a giveaway!

It’s my 2 year blogiversary! Let’s celebrate!

Two years ago I started this blog as a means to write about my wedding planning process and keep our friends and family in the loop. Two years, 451 posts, a wedding, a baby, and my own domain later it has become a great outlet for me to write about lots of different things (could I be anymore random?) and I’ve met so many great friends.

To celebrate my anniversary, I’m hosting a Blurb giveaway. Don’t you just love Blurb?!

I am giving away 4 bookmaking codes for $59.95 to Blurb.com! This is the starting price for their new 12×12 book!

You can use the $59.95 toward whatever you wish at Blurb.com, however.

The winners will receive a bookmaking code

I did this giveaway last year and it was so much fun!

To enter, leave a comment on this post telling me what kind of Blurb book you’d make. Maybe you want a wedding guest book. It could be your wedding album. Maybe it’s a book of your baby’s photos or letters you’ve written to your baby. Or maybe you want to put all of your blog posts into a book so you can have them forever.

Honestly, I’m a little behind on my Blurb bookmaking and need to make a honeymoon book, start making baby books, and I’d like to make a book of Blue-Eyed Bride up to this point.

Also, I wanted to let you all know that Blurb is hosting its very first Best Blurb Books Contest and the winner will receive $3,000! Woot! The books will be judged in three categories: family, pet, and travel (weddings, honeymoon, and kids are obviously in the family category).

So those of you that have already created a Blurb book, you just need to order a copy of your book to be eligible! Who doesn’t want $3,000?! You can also see some pretty amazing books over on the contest website.

Here are the top 5 reasons to enter the Best Blurb Books Contest:

    Blurb Contest!

I would use a Blurb Book for my wedding guest book! I would love to use our engagement pictures (which we are taking on Wednesday!) in the book and have people sign around them. After the wedding we could put it on our coffee table for everyone to see!

  3. says

Great giveaway! I’d love to remake our wedding album and include honeymoon pictures. The album I ordered from another online bookmaker is coming apart after less than a year. So disappointed. Here’s hoping…

OoOo I think this is one of the best giveaway’s I’ve seen in awhile!!! I would make a book of all my wedding pictures! I got married in February was going to make a book with my iPhoto on my mac, but I need to get the new iLife, and to get the new iLife, I need to get Leopard or Snow Leopard, and to do that, I need to get more RAM. Haha, sooo long story short, I can’t make a wedding album on my computer, so this is the PERFECT giveaway for me!! 🙂

My husband and I lived in the Republic of Macedonia for almost 8 months this past year, and so I would make a book of photos from our time spent there. I think even if I don’t win this I will do that! Great idea!

  7. says

What an awesome contest! If I won I think I would make another book about my trip to the UK last Spring. I made a small 8×8 one but I would love to have a larger one.

  8. Erin says

What a great contest! I’d love to throw my name in the hat. My wedding is in 12 days (same as commentor Daisy! Yay!) and I would probably make a ‘behind the scenes’ wedding album filled with the non-professional shots taken that day. Else, I’ll make one with our honeymoon pictures. Thanks! And happy blogiversary.

  9. says

Congrads on two years! You have quite a blog, and I love coming here each week as a reader. This is a great give-away, and whoever wins will be one lucky lady! Best of luck with your next year of blogging. If I am lucky enough to win, I would either do a honeymoon book or a book of pictures of my mother who passed away of cancer last year. She is the reason I love photography so much!

  10. says

We’re approaching our second wedding anniversary, and just this morning I was looking at sites to make a book of our wedding photos. We have a few displayed in frames, but I thought a book would be pretty fun in our living room. So, if I were to buy a book from blurb.com, I would definitely be making a wedding book. (And then I’m sure I’d be tempted to order a second book with just honeymoon photos!)

  11. says

Congratulations on two years! It’s been fun following along on your wild ride, and what a great giveaway! I would definitely create Blurb book with my wedding pictures. We just celebrated our one year anniversary and all I have to show for it so far are two books of proofs. I’d love to create a beautiful wedding album to share with family, friends, and future children.

  12. Nicole says

  18. says

i was in new york city with my parents last weekend and my sister wasn’t able to make the trip due to a crazy work schedule (ever heard of visible changes in texas? they suck the life out of you!!). the purpose of the trip was to take lots and lots of pictures and that’s exactly what i did…1300 in 3 days. my plan is to pick my favorites and make a book for my sister as a christmas gift just so she knows she was truly missed.

  19. says

I would create a book about our 3 week trip to Thailand this Spring. Our family is starting to doubt we went since I haven’t gone through the pictures yet! I’d love to have a book ready to show everyone during the holidays!

  31. Karen says

A free book would be wonderful since I have two daughters getting married within 8 months.

I could so use this book for one of the girls since they both want BIG fairy tale weddings… I’m doing my best to make their dreams come true. One down and one to go. Thanks for the chance to win! I’m going to check out the Blurb site either way!

    Happy Anniversary!

I would use a Blurb book to document our first year of marriage (July 19 2008) In our first year we’ve moved, twice, the most recent time being from the South to the Midwest, Both of us have lost our job and gotten a new one, I had surgery, he graduated with his Ph.d and we got a new puppy, plus traveling and new adventures as newlyweds. There is so much that happened in of first year of marriage that needs to be documented and it is about time I get it started.

  40. says

We’re doing a “Wish Bowl” at the wedding so mutliple people can sign at a time, but I really want to do a blurb book for the rehearsal dinner so that our closest friends and family could leave us with something to treasure.

On a side note, I was just showing my mom your blog… Hudson is so stink’n adorable! You are one lucky mommy!!

  43. says

I would love to be the proud owner of a code for Blurb because I have already made both sets of parents a wedding book through them but haven’t ordered one yet for our own, and its already over a year later. That would make for a great keepsake 🙂

  46. says

Ooh, love this giveaway! I would make a wedding album, because we have yet to print any of our wedding photos, four months later. In other words, we are LAME.

But seriuosly… am I alone in thinking that by paying up for the wedding photo CD Id print and personalize my heart out, but then months after the wedding neglect to do a dang thing with them? Need that Blurb jumpstart, clearly!

  47. Lauren says

I would make a book of photos of my new little boy – he’s all of 16 days old and I’ve already filled the memory card on my camera. Yes, I’m that mom!

  48. says

I LOVE Blurb!! i found out about it by your last Blurb giveaway, actually!! I would make a wedding book! Actually, I’ve already made one, but I made it in another program and then I realized that I didn’t read the instructions on how to create a PDF to blurb so now I have to start ALL OVER!! 🙁 I worked so hard on the first one that I haven’t had the heart to start again yet!

  49. JLT says

I literally just got some of my engagement picture proofs about 15 minutes ago and was wondering what I would do with them! I think it’s a sign. Please pick me!!! I am in love with our pictures and would die if I won this because it would allow us to display them and use this as a guest book at our wedding. Our budget it so small we definitely wouldn’t be able to buy this otherwise.

    LOVE your blog… HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY!!!

  50. kristin says

i’m expecting, so i’d love to do one of our last year as just the 2 of us. we’ve only been married 2 years, and have a bunch of fun pictures – this would be a great way to put together something before we 2 become 3!!!!

  54. says

I can’t believe you’ve been blogging for 2 years!! That’s so wonderful! And I owe all my blogging to you (kind of like..when Patrick Swayze says, “I owe it all to you,” and scrunches his nose?? Ha! I love that part too 🙂

Anyways…enough babbling. I would use it on…sad to say…a wedding album. We have one that our photographer made but we didn’t get to pick the pictures or anything. I’ve been meaning to do my own for some time now. Thanks for hosting 🙂

  55. Melissa says

I have two little boys and a TUB full of pictures…..I am so overwhelmed and maybe this would be a great place for me to START!! Love your blog, your baby is precious! I have been at home since my oldest was born, and don’t worry; you’ll stop wondering what to tell people you “do now”. 🙂 You’ll be wondering what you used to do wih all the extra time you had when you “worked”!

  56. says

I would love to make a wedding album on Blurb, or a honeymoon album, I still haven’t had a chance to print all my favorite images!
    Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

  57. says

Hmmm…last year I did a pretty cool book for D. for Christmas which was a big hit. I was planning on making it a yearly thing. I used Kodak Gallery the last time, but I only did that because I wasn’t aware of the awesomeness that is blurb! Happy anniversary! So glad you started blogging.

  58. Jenn F says

I have had my eye on the blurb website for a while now to create a wedding album. My husband and I were married a year ago and still have no wedding album. Times have been tough and this would be the perfect opportunity to finally get a wedding album made. Not to mention, the perfect way to buy Christmas gifts for our parents 🙂

  59. says

I would definitely use the Blurb book for a baby album! I have tons of pictures and I can’t bear not having using ALL of them somehow, and keeping them all for posterity!

  60. stephanie says

I would use my blurb book to show off the collection of pictures that I have been over the past year. I just began focusing on photography and would love to have something to showcase my work!

Happy blogoversary! As my wedding is currently barrelling down on me (seriously, less than two weeks now! Eek!), I’d definitely use the credit for a book of wedding photos. We have an awesome photographer, but he’s not making us an album– and anyway, it will be much more fun to put something together ourselves! 🙂

  63. suzette says

I just got married a couple of months ago and would love to put my two weddings in there! I was lucky enough to have two weddings to make sure both sides of my family could be there and it would be such a neat book to have to reflect!!

  64. says

Ahh! I would use the credit towards our wedding album(s). I still haven’t created ours or the ones I’m planning to give our parents for Christmas, so I’m giving myself a Thanksgiving (for his family) and Christmas deadline!

I love a photobook! I need to make about 3 right now… Thailand trip, honeymoon, and Year 2009. I’d also love to make one of all the pre-wedding showers and parties… so many options!

  66. Lola's Mom says

I would create a book from our recent trip to Hawaii. I guess it’s not so recent, considering it’s been a year, but I’ve been wanting to do this ever since. Happy blogiversary!

  67. Rebecca says

Hi! I adore your blog and this idea for a giveaway.

What would I make a book of? The first thing that comes to mind is creating a book of all the love letters my precious grandfather has written me over the years. Most of them say “love love love you,” or “so proud of you!” But my most favorite one reads “You make my life worthwhile.” Over the years, these notes have been attached to care packages, forwarded mail, $25 checks intended for “spending money,” and newspaper clippings. These notes are one of my most prized possessions. My grandfather’s health is starting to decline, and I panic at the thought of losing him. A book containing pictures of him and these love letters would be a touching way to celebrate his rich life.

Everyone, call your grandparents right now. Tell them how you are thankful for them and how much you love them. Sit down with them over a cup of tea, and listen to their stories. Keep their traditions alive.

  68. says

Happy Blogiversary Erin!! I have so enjoyed reading your blog for the last year & a half! Your giveaway sounds so fabulous! We did not order a custom album from our photographer and I have been thinking a lot about how/where to get an album. These look so wonderful and I would be so excited to create our wedding album through Blurb. We would cherish it forever! :o) Thanks for doing this giveaway!!

  69. says

Happy 2 years! I’ve always wanted to make a book on Blurb. I’d probably do it on Dave and I…everything has always been so focused on our boys in terms of our photos but I’d love to pull together all of our pics pre-kiddos up until now and make a book just for us. :0)

  70. Jessica says

I’ve never made a book with Blurb, but have looked at the site and would love to! I would remake our wedding album or create a book for our year spent in Germany last year. We have so many pictures from that trip and I’d love to make a coffee table book for people to look at.

  71. says

  73. says

    Happy 2nd Blogiversary!

Great giveaway. I used Blurb to make our honeymoon album, but would love to create a book of what we’ve done over the past 6 months (since the wedding). Thanks!

  74. MaryBeth says

I think I would make one with baby pictures of one of my two kids…then I would have to make one for the other one too (and pay for it) but they would be special keepsakes. Enjoy your blog! Thanks.

  75. says

My fiance and I have saved receipts, movie stubs, concert tickets and even notes from our premarital counseling sessions, and I plan to compile the memories of our last two years into a Blurb guestbook for our wedding. I want our guests to see slices of life from the beginning of our relationship, and winning this would make my day!

  76. laurajane says

I would DEFINITELY (finally!) create a wedding Blurb album since I’m way behind in starting it.
But instead of putting words to the photos, I would put our self-created wedding vows. Can I win if I promise to share? 🙂 Great give away! Happy blogiversary!

  77. says

I have been meaning to do one of these!! I want to make several – one of my blog posts and definitely baby books. My baby girl is only 3 months old but I have tons of photos and I need to make a book before it gets away from me 🙂

I am a big fan and Mother-of-the-Bride-to-be! Oh, how I’d love a Blurb book to illustrate the special “wedding year” journal I began keeping exactly 12 months before my daughter’s big day. I envision giving her the book, along with my hand-caligraphied journal detailing the ups and downs of our wedding planning journey, on the morning of her wedding. Might as well get those tears flowing first thing! Congratulations on becoming an institution in the Blogosphere in a mere two short years.

  83. says

I have been desperately wanting to make a blog book…what better way to document our wedding planning process and first year of marriage! Thanks – this is such a great giveaway!!

  84. says

Happy Blog Anniversary! Mine is coming up too, I need to look into that.

I would love to make a cookbook version of my blog book. Believe it or not I’m constantly fumbling around looking for the recipe for things I’ve posted about.

  85. says

What an awesome giveaway! I would LOVE to make a Blurb book from all my adventures from my time abroad in Ireland and my trips to Paris, Barcelona, Italy, and Greece! I have been back for over 4 months now and friends and family are ALWAYS asking to see pictures! And what a great way to remember all the fun times 🙂

  86. says

I’d start catching up on 8 years of vacations, a wedding and a honeymoon. We haven’t printed pictures in oh, EVER, so this would be perfect for us.

    Congrats on two years Erin!

  87. says

I can’t really decided on just one use, so I’d do an album of photos from our wedding and a travel related book starting wi our newlywed adventures! Fabulous giveaway!

  88. says

    Happy Anniversary! 🙂
    What a fun giveaway?!
I would use this to make a book of photos from our upcoming wedding (3 weeks-yay!) for my mother who has gone above and beyond to help us make our wedding everything and more we imagined it would be.

  89. says

Wow! Two years, what an accomplishment! I hope I can stay around as long as you and have so many great followers! I think this is a wonderful giveaway. I would definitely use it to make a wedding book. Our one year anniversary is in January and I think it would be perfect timing. Thank you for the opportunity!

  90. says

I would LOVE this. I would either make one of my college years OR maybe one of our relationship. Apparently, I need to start one of these if I win or not.

  91. says

I would absolutely do my wedding. I couldn’t bring myself to cut up my wedding photos and “scrapbook” them. But a Blurb book looks exquisite.

    What a great giveaway.

Thanks for hosting such a lovely giveaway!

  93. danielle says

I want to do a custom book for my parents’ anniversary — with all the beautiful pictures I have of them through the years. It’s their 30th, and I know they will cherish it forever.

  94. says

Oh cool! I am making a recipe book that my Grandmother had put together but never had the chance to type up before she died this month. This would be a great way to have family photos and her recipes together!

  95. says

I would love to make a blog book but would also love a compare contrast book of my boys. Sizes, pictures, likes and dislikes, etc. I think they’d like looking back on that and so would I!

  96. Leigh-Anne says

What a great idea! I would love to make a Blurb book of old photos of my fiance and and I! I think using both photos from when we were little and our most recent engagement photos would be fun! I would use it as a guestbook on the day of our wedding and as a coffee table book after that. How fun! I can’t wait to see who the winner is! Thanks!

  97. says

Congrats on 2 years! I started reading just before your wedding, and was in Hawaii I think a week after you were there for your honeymoon…I even made a Blurb book of that trip for my mom for her 50th birthday! I used Blurb again for the guest book at my wedding a few months ago, and I just started my 3rd, which is yet another for my mom, but this time of all the recent wedding festivities. I owe another to my husband’s parents too and would love to make a honeymoon book, so a credit would be wonderful! Great idea for a contest!

  98. Sylvia says

Congrats on your two year streak! I would love to have a blurb book to document the birth of my 2nd niece or nephew – she or he will be coming in January and I can’t wait to get the memories together. They just grow up too fast 🙂

Happy Anniversary!! I have never seen this site, so I am so glad to learn about it. I would love to be entered into the giveaway. I woud love to do one of my baby girl!

  100. says

I have actually created and made two blurb books in the past (one for fathers day with pictures of my husband and our first son, and the other a book dedicated to my parents with pictures of my siblings and I from birth till now… that one took me over 6 months to create). If I were to get the credit I would start working on an album for my second son… who quite frankly has been neglected in the scrapbook department… loads of pictures… just nothing to show for them yet.

  101. says

I’d love to do a wedding album! We’ve been married 2.5 years and I don’t have one yet. We made the mistake of all wedding mistakes and had a friend shoot our wedding (he’s a pro and offered as a gift to us – we did pay him some though) – and our pictures are horrible. Awful. I hate them and that makes me so sad. We do have some good images though, but they are very rough. But, with some creative photoshopping and editing (my hubby’s specialty) they could be awesome…I hope! Maybe winning this giveway would be the kick in the pants we’d need to get them done!

  102. says

What a great giveaway! Thank you so much for the opportunity!
I would LOVE to make a book of the candid photos that we’ve taken of my 18 mo. old!

  103. Cas says

Great giveaway! I’d use it for my vacation photos from our last cruise. I think it would turn out amazing. Thanks for giving us a shot at winning : )

  104. says

I’m really thinking about getting my husband a blurb book with all his posts from his website. It’s really amazing how far he has come along with his blog. This would make a great Christmas gift, so thanks for posting this giveaway. Even if I don’t win your giveaway, I ended up with a great gift idea for my husband!

  105. Stephanie says

Happy Anniversary! I only just started watching your blog about 3 months ago, but I love it! I love checking it daily on my lunch hour to see what surprises I might find. It always makes my day that much better. I would love to win the contest as I am getting married Oct. 10, 2009 (12 days!!) and we are making photo albums as gifts for our parents. This would be PERFECT! Thanks! 🙂

  106. gabby says

congratz on your anniversary and what a great way to celebrate! I’m in the process of editing some photographs and this would be a great way to show case them. Projects in mind: trip to New York 2008, Washington D.C. 2009, first year of furry baby, second year of marriage and wedding day.
    I’m keeping my fingers cross!!

  107. Eve says

I am planning my wedding, and want to make a fantastic guest book using photos from the first 6 years with my fiance, and also with our engagement photos. I’d LOOOOOOOOVE to win this-the wedding is so incredibly costly, and every little bit helps!!

  108. says

Very fun! I have to admit I’ve never even heard of Blurb–I’ve been using Shutterfly to make a book for our family each year since our almost-4-year-old was born, and Blurb looks very similar to Shutterfy. I absolutely love making the books each year. I also do a photo album with all of our pictures from the year, but the Shutterfly book is a nice, shorter way to show the highlights (since I don’t actually scrapbook). So I guess if I won, I would use my Blurb book to do this year’s book rather than using Shutterfly–give them a shot and see which one I like better!

  109. says

I would totally make a wedding book and either keep it for myself or give it to my mom for Christmas. Happy blogoversary! So glad you are blogging, thanks for being a great friend!

  110. Missy says

I love this giveaway!!! I would love to make a book of my daughter’s second year..In fact I’d love to make her a book for every year until she’s 18. I think it would be sooo priceless!

  111. Es says

What a terrific giveaway! I’d love to make a book dedicated to my dogs. I have so many great photos of my last dog and the two dogs I have now. It would be so special for me to make a book to always remember them by.

  112. Bama Belle says

Happy Blogiversary! What a fun giveaway! Since my blog is now sadly deceased, I’d love to capture Bama Belle In The Big City in a blurb book! Sadly had to take it down

  113. says

I have made a few books on my Mac… and have had so many good intentions of going to Blurb to make baby book, after baby book, after baby book. My son will be TWO next month so I have lots of documentation to catch up on! What a great giveaway… Happy Blog-iversary!

  114. says

Oh my goodness, I was JUST thinking of making a Blurb book today! I make one every year to celebrate one more year of love for husband and I. He’ll be thrilled if I don’t have to dip into the family budget to make this years book!

  115. says

My fiance and I get married in 18 days (very exciting) and a wedding album would be so wonderful. We’ve worked so hard to plan a wedding that’s both elegant and fun and that reflect who we are. It would be awesome to be able to chronicle our first year as well.

  116. says

I would make one of our first year of marriage…from honeymoon to anniversary. We haven’t been QUITE as busy and y’all, but we did move twice, get new jobs, buy a house, and just get used to the whole marriage thing. I’d love to have it all in one book!

  117. says

    Happy Blogiversary!

I made a blog book for both sets of parents of our wedding photos as a Christmas gift last year. They were huge hits!

I’d love to make another one of our summer roadtrip from this past summer. I have SO many pictures I could put in there 🙂

  118. says

I would make a guest book with our engagement pics and random ones from over the course of our relationship. I think they are a great keepsake 🙂

  119. says

I’ve been wanting to make an album from a collection of photos from the last year (engagements, wedding, bridal portraits, honeymoon) for my mom who lives in California (I’m in Texas). I know she’d love it!

  120. says

How cool! Just found your site and your wedding pictures are beautiful!! I’d use the blurb credit to make a wedding album. I got married May 2008 and still no album! (I’m a bum.)

  121. says

wow… I’d have to narrow it down but I’d probably make a book of all of the trips and vacations that the fiancee and I have been on this year. Our photogs are already making a guest book and wedding album but I wish I’d known about this sooner!! 🙂

  122. says

Love this giveaway!! I would definitely make a wedding book as I have been slacking big time on getting that together! This might give me that little kick in the butt needed to get it done!

  123. says

Congrats on your 2yr anniv. My blog is brand-spanking new… I am just getting the hang of it actually….
    anyways… love ur blog…
the book I would make is a book of my New Orleans Adventures and how me and well as many other photographers are going down there to give back to the community and provide them new memories by giving them free photo sessions… its going to be a huge event. can’t wait!

  124. Catherine says

Yay for Blurb! I discovered Blurb when I was planning my wedding. I ended up creating one with our engagement photos for people to sign at the wedding reception. We thought it turned out great. People were so impressed with the quality! Anyway, I scanned TONS of photos from mine and my husband’s childhood for a rehearsal dinner video and, up to now, haven’t done anything with the rest of them. I would LOVE to create a book of our childhood photos. You can’t beat photos like that! 🙂

  125. says

I LOVE Blurb! I made my hubby a book last Christmas when he and his dad were building a car together. He loved it! It is by far the best book making site out there! Now I want to make a book of my blog. So many moments with my daughter to remember, a book is such a great way!

  126. Manden Matz says

I would make an album with our honeymoon pictures. there were so many great sunset shots and my husband and i eating and relaxing after a crazy wedding week. I think it would be perfect to have them in an album rather than shoved in an envelope in some drawer in the office!

  127. hhooks says

My husband and I have been married for 4 years now and if I won the giveaway I would finally make a book with our honeymoon pictures! I have been putting this off forever for no apparent reason, but this would be just the kick in the rear I would need. Happy 2 year anniversary!

  128. says

What an awesome giveaway, Erin! I would love to do a Blurb book with pictures from the first two years (almost!) of marriage! We used Blurb for our album and LOVE it. I am so happy that we didn’t pay the $1600 our photographer wanted for an album.

  129. says

I’d make a honeymoon book of all our Spain pictures! We have over 300 pics and I’ve done nothing with them so far! So many memories that are just sitting on a computer- blech. I’d love this code in order to really make those memories come to life and be able to share our memories with others who want to see them!

  130. Sarah says

I would make a book with all the pictures from a couple of mission trips I went on last year. I love all the pictures, but have done nothing with them except left hem sitting on my computer!

  131. Michelle says

I have made photo books on a different site before, but blurb.com looks fantastic! I have many, many things i could make a book of, but i think i would start by putting together a bachelorette/showers/wedding book for one of my good friends that is getting married next weekend!

  132. says

Oh I love the idea! I’d use it to make my parents a memory book. I’ve been out of the house for a couple of years and my younger sister just moved out too so they’re experiencing a bit of empty nest syndrome. I’d love to make them a book highlighting all the fun things we’ve done together over the years.

  133. says

Oh I just love a good blog giveaway. Although I’ve never won, they’re so much fun! I would love to make a blurb book of either this past year (our Pup’s first year and some of our travels) or I’d like to do an O’Donnell’s Opus Blurb Book so I could capture all my “blog” memories. What a wonderful idea! Got my fingers crossed!

  134. Courtney says

My parent’s wedding anniversary is in November and I would love to make them a book of all their wedding photos. I think this would be a special gift that they would truly enjoy!

  135. says

My husband and I just had our first year anniversary and had pictures taken on the beach in Cali (we’re from TX). I would LOVE this book to be able to put all of the pictures in a special album 🙂

  136. Nina H. says

I would love to create a book for our wedding anniversary. We had so much fun I would love to be able to remeber that time. Thanks for the chance to!

  137. Sara Dodson says

I have never used Blurb but would love to try it out. I am doing the photo a day project and I am going to make a photo book out of it when I get done. I’ve heard great things about Blurb!

  138. says

I would make a wedding album for my very dear grandfather-in-law! Law School Husband and I are so, so blessed to have three living grandparents a piece, but his grandfather was unable to travel to our wedding in June (though his grandmother made it). His grandpa was so sad to miss it, but he just turned 90, is a 10 year cancer survivor, and has been battling pneumonia for ages. Really, his family can’t remember when he didn’t have some sort of strain of it. We visited grandpa in August at a family reunion and were taken aback by how frail he looked. I would love to give him his very own wedding album. I know it would mean the world to him, and would mean the world to me to be able to give him something so meaningful!

  139. Constance says

How fun! I would love to make one that involves our adoption journey. We recently were blessed in May with a newborn bundle of joy and I would like to capture our road to parenthood and how she has changed our lives!

  140. Lindsey L says

What a neat giveaway! Congrats on your 2nd Blogiversary! I would definitely make a wedding album! We’ve been married for almost 2 years and I have done anything past what the awesome photographer gave us (an album of black and whites and an album of colors). I would love to have a beautiful book of our favorites!

  141. says

What a great giveaway! I want to make books for our parents with our wedding pics in them for Christmas, and this would be just perfect! Happy blogiversary!!

  142. A Walk with the Marshalls says

This is a wonderful way to document life’s precious moments. My book would be something special I would give to my son one day when he told me he was going to become a father. Right before I learned I was pregnant I started writing letters to “baby” about how much I had prayed for him or her throughout my life…and I continued to write to him until the day he was born. We had a photographer capture Jack’s birth so I would combine those letters and the pictures and give the book to him. I never want him to forget how much we prayed for him and how great our God is!

  143. Sassy Engineer says

I would love to win one of these! I have been wanting to make a book about our trip to PA this summer but I haven’t gotten to it yet. This would give me the start I need 🙂

  144. says

238 comments, wow! I scrolled all the way down so I couldn’t read other peoples responses. I would definitely use the Blurb book for my son, Benjamin. My mother’s house burned down when she was 12 and she has no pictures of her childhood. None! So, it’s always been really important to me to preserve photographs. Benjamin is almost 5 months old and we have so many photographs that need to be displayed in a creative way. Congrats on Hudson…what a cutie pie! Isn’t it the best?!

  145. nicole says

Happy 2 year blog anniversary! Thank you for offering such a wonderful giveaway. If I win, I would make a book about how my fiance and I met, dated for 4 years, and how he proposed. Similar to “The Notebook” story of our love book, I would want to be able to have something to look back on that we will be able to show our future children.

  146. says

I just made my first Blurb book for our wedding guest book. It’s supposed to come in tomorrow’s mail and I am so excited to see it in person! I’d love to make a big, lovely book of all the details and faces that will be at our wedding in November.

  147. says

I would use the Blurb book for my son. We’ve been going through the trying process of getting an Autism diagnosis and I have been taking pictures of him since day 1 of his life. I’d have this book as a reminder of how much I love him and how special he is to me.

  148. says

I have never made a blurb book but they look amazing! I just had some maternity shots taken yesterday so I would definitely make a maternity/baby book once my son arrives. Thanks for the giveaway!!

  149. Angie says

This looks like a great idea. My husband and I had custom wedding albums made for our parents but ran out of money to spend to get our own wedding album! I would love to make one for us to have.

  150. says

I recently found your blog while I was searching for wedding blogs, and I love it! I am getting married in April, and I would use a Blurb book for my wedding guest book. I have been searching for a way to make the guest book something out of the ordinary, and this is perfect! I would make it a timeline guestbook starting with my fiance (who also graduated from Louisiana Tech) and my baby pictures, a couple of childhood pictures, the beginning of our relationship, and finally some of the engagement photos. Then after the wedding I will always have it on display on our coffee table. Regardless of whether I win or not, I am going to make one anyway! 🙂

  151. Amy says

Your website is lovely, I think this is the first comment I have ever left. I love seeing photos of your adorable little man! Thanks for sharing pieces of your life with total strangers. As for the book, I think I would make one about my two boys, they are 2.5 and 1, and the last two years have really gone by quickly. It would be nice to be able to create a book about the first few years of their lives. Thanks for this offer!

  152. Carter says

My best friend and daughter’s god-mother made a Blurb book for her christening that had pictures from her first 6 months of life. It’s her absolute favorite book and whenever she gets a chance, she crawls over to the coffee table and will cry if someone doesn’t sit down and read it with her! I would order a second copy of her book and then make one of my husband and my honeymoon.

  153. says

What a giveaway!!! I’ve actually made TWO now! One I made as a birthday present for my husband last year of our honeymoon 🙂 and the other was a gift to my mom of my bridal portraits documenting that day because it was a day we spent together and one of my favorite memories with my momma…

    Thanks for posting the giveaway!

-oh, and I’m Hudson mommy too 🙂

  154. Mari-ann says

Hi. First time reader here. I would love to make a wedding album. We got married in August 08, and still have not put one together. We were able to make Blurb parent books for Christimas last year…and kindof lost our momentum to work on ours. This might give us the push we need!

  155. says

Oh wow! How neat, I have never seen these before! I would love to make a book for my sister. She just started College and it would be fun to document her first year. 🙂 Thanks for a great give-away!

    Happy Blogiversary!

  157. says

We just got back from our trip to NYC and I would love to do a blurb book for my husband for Christmas of our trip! We took tons of pictures and it would be a great way to keep the memories we made. 🙂 Pick me!!

  158. Beth says

Does it count if we have already created a Blurb book? Our daughter got married in August, and we made a WONDERFUL guest book for folks to sign at the reception…we used “matching” pics of the bride and groom through the first half (baby pics from same stages, Halloween costumes at age 3, sports pics from 10th grade, etc.), then couple shots from the past couple of years…our guests LOVED it, and had so much fun signing on pages that had special significance for them in their relationship to the bride and groom…we LOVE Blurb!!!!

  159. Kathryn says

I love this giveaway! I am 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby! I would love to create a Blurb book for this pregnancy and maybe the first parts of this little one’s life!

  160. says

Blogging for two years is a reason to celebrate! Congratulations!!!

Thanks for having such a fabulous giveaway!!! I would make a book of all the pictures I have from the past 6 years — I have made such great friends here and I’d love to put them all together!

So much fun! My hubby and I did a Blurb book for our wedding guest book. Whoever wins will love this prize!

  171. Jennifer says

We got married in August and AT OUR WEDDING (after we were announced), the preacher directly renewed his grandparent’s vows (50 years.) I would like to make a book that joins the two ceremonies together as a keepsake for generations to come.

  172. says

I promised my mom, my stepmom and my MIL that I’d make them photobooks from our wedding. I’ve been looking into all the options and Blurb looks like the right choice for my project!! Any discount would be so helpful and grately appreciated!! Thanks BEB!!

I’ve been married for 3 years and have never had a nice wedding album made … just a giant photo album of all the 4×6 prints … sad 🙁 Now I’m expecting my first baby, and I really need to get the wedding photos taken care of before I get much busier with tons of new baby pictures!

  180. says

Happy anniversary! I would use the Blurb prize to make a photobook for my parents. I got married a month ago, and my mom and dad were amazingly helpful. They crafted and constructed and kept me calm when the rain started to fall. I’d love to give them a book filled with memories from my wedding day!

You are so kind to host this giveaway, thank you!

  184. says

I had never heard of Blurb until this post … Oh my word. I am obsessed! I have played on there everyday since you posted. I can’t even begin to think what kinds of books I would create, but man-o-man, I am in love! Great giveaway! Thank you!

  185. crystal pye says

    Hey Erin,
I have every single love note my husband and I have ever written each other. From a simple “I had a great time with you on our date” to “I can’t wait to marry you today” to ” You are an amazing mother”. Cards, notes written on notebook paper and even one on the back of a Wal-Mart reciept, you name it I saved it. I have been looking for a way to combine and collect these into some kind of book. I would love to scan them and add photos from that stage or our lives. I could also print more than one for however many children we have, so that they all could treasure such sweet love notes between their parents.

  186. says

    *Crosses fingers, toes and eyes*

I hope I win! I would create a wedding album that I would give to my grandparents. They weren’t able to attend, but I would love to create an album for them that tells the story of my amazing wedding day!

PS- I heart, heart, heart Blurb!!!

  187. says

love your blog and I think your Hudson is soo cute. My husband and I just celebrated our first anniversary, so I think I’d make a book documenting our first year and all my cooking endeavors. 🙂

  188. says

This is super cool! I have never even heard of this company but and I might be the only person to say that I want to make a book of all my races and running adventures over the past year! 🙂 I think it would be cool to look back on the ‘year’ that I began racing again. Thanks for a great giveaway BEB 🙂

  189. says

I love this! I had heard about having these made, but never knew a good company to go through. I would maybe do our wedding and honeymoon. Or all of our favorite family photos, I would love, love to capture the many memories from both of our families (hubby and mine), then our memories together.

  190. says

So many different choices! I’ve been wanting to make several books, one from when we were dating, one of our wedding photos, one of our honeymoon and one of the boudoir photos I just did!

  191. says

Hi Erin! I found your blog through Kelly’s Korner and I just love it! 🙂 Happy blogiversary and what a fun giveaway! I’m pregnant with my first child – a baby BOY – and I would use the book to document pictures/tidbits/notes along the way of my pregnancy (maybe even some blog posts since I recently started one)! AND, after seeing your study pictures, I think I would display the book on one of the shelves we have (which are also from Ballard Designs!) in baby boy’s nursery! Have a great weekend!

  192. Cami says

I have been meaning to make a Blurb book for a year and a half now! That’s when we got back from our honeymoon to Italy and France and we have so many pictures. I’d love to make a coffee table book from them. Great giveaway!

  193. Sara says

What a wonderful company and product. I have been looking for a reliable and decent company that provides this service, so thank you for introducing me to it! I am notorious for taking more pictures than I need to and then never doing anything special with them. It is tough for me to narrow down exactly what kind of album I would make first. Of course, I would love one of our wedding that captures some of the goofier pictures of the day. I would also love to have an album that captures all of the places my husband and I have traveled throughout the world – hopefully this one will keep us inspired to continue traveling even when we think we don’t have the time or money to devote to it.

  194. says

I’m the process of two (which are both my my first) Blurb books…one is an anniversary present for hubby ( all sorts of pics, etc.) and the second is a graduation present for my baby brother who is graduating high school this year. I just love working on them!!!
