John Matthew Hudson Carroll was born.
Today, Hudson is an animated, happy little boy. I’m so sorry that I didn’t do a post like this for his 1 month and 2 month birthdays, but it’s never too late!
Here are the highlights:
- Hudson has taken two vacations– one to Panama City, FL and one to Litchfield Beach, SC.
- He is a very strong little boy and always has been.
- He has a very strong grip and each night tries to wrestle out of my arms. Sad.
- He loves to stiffen his legs and stand on my legs or on any surface.
- Unless he’s sleepy, he likes to be sitting up at a 90 degree angle.
- He almost has complete control of his head, but still turns into a bobble head every once in a while.
- He watched his first Gamecock football game with his Daddy on Thursday night. And we won!
- He is so talkative. He talks to his mobile, to his animal friends on his gym, and mostly to his family. He’s ready to talk.
- His smile still lights up our lives. No real giggle yet, but he’s on the verge!
- He has rolled over once, but we didn’t see it. Now we’re trying to do whatever we can to get him to do it again. He can get to both sides and roll back to his back, but no full roll yet.
- Hudson is wearing size 12 month in Magnolia Baby outfits. He wears 6 month in nicer john johns and bubbles. He generally wears a 9 month in play clothes.
- He takes 6 oz of formula per feeding.
- And finally…. he is sleeping like a champ! He slept 10 hours for three nights in a row– only waking up once each night and crying for about 10 minutes before going right back to sleep on his own. His Daddy and I are so happy that this day has arrived!

Awesome post! That monkey picture is priceless!!! I’m a long time reader and for some reason, I thought he was older. Doesn’t seem like 3 months. Savor the time…my little Trey is already 18 months!

I can’t believe it’s been 3 months already!! He is absolutely precious and I’m so happy for you and Todd. He’s had quite a life so far and I look forward to reading about his adventures in the coming months.

By the way, I just adopted a 3 1/2 month old puppy today! She’s a labrador husky mix and she’s all black with a touch of white around her collarbone. We’re still thinking of a name, I’d love any suggestions. She has an older brother who’s a 1 year old beagle named Winston Hounslow (the second name is our street)

What a precious little guy!! At least he is learning young about SEC football :). Way to go Mama for looking so great after only 3 months! Enjoy the next 3 months, 3 years, 3 decades!
