my miracle shirt

Today I’m wearing this. In navy.

hattie-v-neck

The Hattie V Neck from Anthropologie

And I wish I could wear it every day because it’s amazing. Someone told me on Monday that I look thinner than I did before I got pregnant. And that statement is about 12 pounds away from being true.

So if you’re feeling a bit heavy in the mid-section, like I am and will probably be for the next few months, get this shirt. This shirt arrived just in time because I was beginning to feel like there weren’t anymore retailers that sold items that could work as good transitional pieces for me right now. Thanks, Anthro, for never letting me down.

p.s. I also got a couple of empire waist dresses that I can’t wait to wear at the beach next week. If you can’t get rid of the post-baby tum tum, then you’ve got to hide it.

That shirt is adorable! Also a great piece to transition from Summer to Fall — that is always such a hard thing to do. Especially for those of us who live in the South!

Love it! I received an Anthro gift certificate for my birthday, so I may just have to pick one up! That middle section just isn’t the same after baby! I never had a muffin top before the little guy came and it’s what I fight against every day now – when I lose weight, that’s where it comes off first though! I just miss the days of wearing the fitted shirts and not have that lump, but I’ve started working out every day and I’m gonna get rid of it if it kills me!

I just ordered this shirt – love it. I am 4 weeks post partum. I had my son, George, on July 1st. I have been dying to find some good transitional pieces. I’ve loved reading your blog during my pregnancy (and now post-pregnancy). I look forward to checking in each day.

I love this shirt! It is so cute. It would be great to transition from the summer to the fall, especially in the south.

Don’t stress about the baby weight! It took nine months to put on, it will take a little time to get off. Plus, your body needs to finish healing! I am sure that you look great right now! Just as I am certain you will soon fit back into all your pre-baby clothes.

I love this shirt! I haven’t commented a lot but I love your blog. My husband and are planning to start having kids in the next year or two. It is so helpful to read your blog and follow the process.

OK, I bought this shirt today thanks to you! 😉 Looked everywhere in the store for it and finally had to get someone to show it to me. Love the blue!

    Erin,
If/when you figure out how to get rid of the post-baby tum-tum, PLEASE do share this miracle secret. I’m so sick of looking at my purple stretch marks and little baby-bulge!!! I’ve been told the stretch marks fade into skin color and the bulge eventually disappears, but oh-my-goodness, it’s taking TOO LONG!
Have fun at the beach and enjoy those empire-waisted dresses!
