I’ve mentioned before that if I could be trained to do anything and do it perfectly it would be to Riverdance. You know, the Irish dance troupe stuff? Michael Flatley: Lord of the Dance? (anyone else remember the hilarious Friends reference that goes with this?)
A good many years ago, there was this great Folger’s commercial and I just saw it when Dancing With the Stars went to commercial. I love it when they bring back old commercials!
This is one of my favorite commercials of all time. Makes me want to get up and dance– or try to!
And it makes me crave a good cup of coffee!
Is it sad that I knew that song??
Friends is the first thing I thought of…you know his legs do flail about as if independent from his body 🙂
Makes me wish I was still doing irish dancing.
I LOVE that commercial. And I love Riverdance.
OMGosh! I love that commercial too and when it just came on I realized I hadn’t seen it in FOREVER!
They should do a DWTS – Riverdance style…now THAT would be good! 🙂
I LOVE that commercial! I was a dancer so stretching after getting out of bed was typical for me. In high school, I was in the St. Patty’s Day Parade in NYC (in the marching band.. big loser I know) and some Irish dancers from Ireland(!) taught me a couple moves.. they definitely laughed at me in my band uniform trying to flail my legs around haha.. It’s such a cool dance, I’d love to learn someday!
I love Riverdance! I saw the show a while back and it was AMAZING. As is the commercial. So simple. Love it!
I loved that commercial…there were a bunch of other awesome musical ones too but that one was the best
I love the Friend’s reference!! Of course we all remember that his legs flailed about as if independent from his body!!!
Oh I do love another Friends fan!! =)
That commercial still rocks.
Yes! I LOVED that commerical…the song always made me want to dance and I love watching river dance…one of these days i’ll kidnap my hubby and take him to a show!
the other folgers commerical i loved was the one with the girl playing the drums…..good times!!
Ellen had several children on her show dancing. They were so precious. I have a cousin whose daughter does it!! Some of the dresses that the little girls wear cost $1000! I was shocked!! Have a great day!! xoxo
So laughing at the Friends reference because as soon as I saw the name I saw Chandler doing that little jig. LOL
I love that commercial, too! I actually havent heard that jingle from Folgers in a while 😛
“the Irish jig guy??” “his legs flail about as if independent from his body!”
heehee!
Great commercial…I haven’t seen commercials in SOOOO long…
I love that commercial and well I am drinking folgers right now!
I love that commercial and got very excited when it was on during DWTS last night! 😀
what phenomenon according to Chandler scares the bejesus out of him??
Michael Flatley, LORD of the dance!
OMG I totally saw this yesterday while I was working out and was SO excited… because when I was little I took Irish step dancing, and whenever I saw this commercial I wanted to be her so bad!
I love me some DWTS 🙂 Love love old commercials 🙂 this one is awesome!
hahhahaha, that line from Friends ALWAYS cracks me up!
That jingle is a classic!
This post made me laugh because my bridesmaid’s son only had one request for our wedding… riverdancing! He is obsessed… and does it quite well!
I LOVE That commercial too! (I love Riverdance stuff). Did you see it while watching Dancing with the stars? Cause that’s when I saw it haha.
Ha! I can relate because (and here’s where I admit how much of a dork I am)…
1) I saw Lord of the Dance in person (and LOVED it!), and
2) I bought a how-to-Irish-Dance DVD. Sadly, I still cannot Irish Dance, but that’s due only to my own bad coordination.
love that friends episode! one year, there was a riverdance production every 2 hours at epcot in disney world…i swear we must have seen it 3 different times in one day!!
Seriously, I have a secret obsession with Riverdance. I loved this commercial!!
You are just too cute! Riverdance?? 🙂
Oooh, I remember this one! Memories 🙂
Love Riverdance, and that commercial was good too!
