Sure, I don’t really want to see Valentine’s Day items hitting the shelves before New Year’s Eve comes and goes, but I do love to see the cute red and pink things. Hearts, candy, balloons. Maybe I like it because the colors are great. I also like Valentine’s Day because it reminds me of being a kid and passing out valentines at school. My mom would always help me make a really cute “mailbox” for my desk and I am so looking forward to doing those things with our child.
I know that Valentine’s Day is known as the Hallmark holiday, but I don’t care. My husband and I don’t even go crazy on Valentine’s Day with gifts and dinners. I just love the feeling of love all day. And I like candy.
Williams-Sonoma is definitely on the Valentine’s Day band wagon with these delicious looking treats. We actually ordered some of the chocolate-filled croissants to eat over Christmas and they were delicious.

This is just the icing on the red velvet cake. Oh my goodness, it looks heavenly. Of course red velvet is my favorite, but it’s heart-shaped! Adorable.

Am I the only one that’s already excited about Valentine’s Day?
I have absolutely never had a good valentine’s day as my husband has always had military stuff on the day. And I have laughably bad valentine’s. Really bad. But this year, the hubs is home and says that he’s taking me somewhere as a surprise. I also circled a few choice items in the latest james avery magazine in hopes of something pretty! I always get into the pink and red and hearts and girly stuff even when I haven’t had the best person with which to celebrate.
I AM! I AM!! And I was totally drooling over those WS treats last night! I also know it is a hallark holiday, but I don’t care at all. We like to go out to dinner and then go to a movie!!! I really miss making my valentine box…sigh!!!
I miss you!!!!
xoxoxo
I am excited!!! Valentine’s Day is two days after Country and my’s “10 month anniversary” and I pray to God that we will actually get to spend it together. We might be in Charleston on vacation! Who knows! Ahhh the life of dating someone in the military…all dates are in pencil because they can and will change 4 times before the event actually happens!
I’m excited too!!
I am SOOOO excited about it!!! I can’t wait!!!! I also love Easter and that is coming quick too!!!!
I like Valentine’s day too. That cake makes me want one right now!
I haven’t been by a WS in a few weeks, I am going to have to get my tail there!! This stuff is amazing! And looks so yummy…
Oh my goodness, Valentine’s Day is one of my MOST FAVORITE days of the year. I love love it! So no, you are not alone if your excitement for the day!
I partook in the Target Dollar section Valentine’s Day stuff over the weekend. It is just so irresistible!
I am a big fan of V-Day!!! I saw those goodies online the other day and debated ordering something. However I can almost guarantee that mine wouldn’t come out looking like perfection. How does W.S. do it???!!!
You are def not the only one! I cannot wait. I found the cutest stuff in Target the other night and had to refrain from buying all of it! 🙂
that red velvet cake looks so good! i want a slice right now.
Thank you for reminding me that I have a gift card to there that needs to be used ASAP! What better reason to use it now than V-day?!
I just love that place…
That is SO cute, and looks so tasty! 🙂 I’m not the biggest V-day lover, but for that cake I’ll do anything ha ha
I have always like Valentines Day too. Not over the top but it does give you a good feeling 🙂
All of that looks sooo yum! 🙂 Dying over here!
Chocolate croissants! YES I am ready for that! Sign me up! 🙂 I like the pink and white stuff too. Really cute. Target is fun for the cheapie cute stuff for kids…
The red velvet cake looks delicious…it’s my favorite! As for Valentine’s Day- I personally think it’s overrated, but I do like to look at all the stuff. A card and dinner (on a different night) will do just fine as a gift though.
I LOVE red velvet! Valentine’s Day is a great excuse to make one. I want to make the bottom layer on my wedding cake red velvet so when you cut into it, it’s a red surprise!
Red Velvet IS good!
I’d love to eat those little heart-cake-cookies-creme-filled-goodness things!!!!
Your mailbox comment reminded me of when I was little. I grew up in a racist town and as the only black girl in my entire elementary school….lets just say I recieved less cards/lesser quality cards than all the other children. Oh, those were good times.
Yum, that cake looks so delicious! I love Vday as well! It has nothing to do with the gifts or dinner.. It is such a warm day!
I am also a lover of Vday! It’s such a fun feel good holiday. I just went to Target last wkend and got a ton of stuff! They have adorable kitchen towels in their dollar section ($2.50), cute notepads you can put on your fridge ($1) and they have such a great selection of Papyrus cards!! Love it.
And I LOVE chocolate croissants. So delish!
You aren’t alone! I’ve always adored Valentine’s Day! Most years, I didn’t have a “someone” on V-day, so, for me, it seemed a wonderful reminder of love in general.
I adore Valentine’s candy (who can resist conversation hearts? They might not be my favorite taste, but I love their phrases!) and all the pink and red that comes into play for the holiday!
And when I was little, I loved gussying up a shoebox for my Valentine’s mailbox! Oh- and that heart-shaped red velvet cake is just perfect.
Chocolate-filled croissants are one of my favorite things of ALL time! I almost had one at Panera this morning. I think a WS order is a must in the near future. Yes, I’m excited about V-day… I was at Hobby Lobby today and was very excited about all the goodies! xoxo
I already stocked up at Target! Their Valentine’s decorations are beyond cute
Hubby and I don’t really go overboard on Valentine’s day either. This year though we will be in Charleston with our lovely ladies and I will be stopping by Cupcake to pick up a couple of their red velver cupcakes–yummy!! We’ve decided to purchase an antique map of either the entire state of SC or of just Charleston (if we can find one we both like) while we are there as our V-day gift to each other.
Will you be in Atlanta this weekend?
SO SO excited! I love the red velvet heart cake – may have to try that! What a great blog read – I’m glad I found you…
I LOVE Valentine’s Day too! Even though I don’t have a valentine this year it will be awesome. 🙂
I LOVE Valentine's Day, chocolate croissants & red velvet cake! My mom makes a heart shaped one every year, but she's in Africa so no cake this year! Perhaps I'll order one!
What a beautiful cake! I’m very excited about Valentines! 🙂
I tagged you with an award!!
