I’ve been waiting on 2009 for just two reasons:
My DVR is taking care of American Idol tonight so I can watch The Biggest Loser and Real Housewives of Orange County (feel free to judge). I just can’t believe I haven’t seen a new episode of Lost since May. I can’t wait to see what happens next week when it returns.
Awards season has also arrived. I was in Atlanta this weekend and watched the Golden Globes with my parents. They live in Dallas and don’t have to wait weeks for all of the award-worthy movies to come to a nearby theater. I, on the other hand, may not see Slumdog Millionaire until it comes to DVD. There are a few award-worthy movies in Columbia and I have plans to see at least four movies over the long weekend.
And I hate to say something negative about Blake Lively because I am a Gossip Girl fan, but how on Earth did People.com put her on their Best Dressed list from Sunday night’s Golden Globes?
This dress is at least one size too small. And her body is amazing. Who let her wear this dress?
And here’s my favorite dress. I have a soft spot for ladies that can pull of yellow so beautifully. Christina Applegate looks stunning.
I am in TV crazy land with American Idol, The Biggest Loser and The Real Housewives (yep, people can judge me too – I love trash tv in the winter!!)
And yes, poor Blake Lively – seriously her stylist (or whoever) should be fired!!
I’m so excited for Lost next week. I will spending this weekend on the couch after our pre-marital class catching up from last season!
And ssshhh….I love Housewives, but only Orange County Housewives.
I agree on Blake!!! I love her and the show but that dress was not all that fab. And it was way too tight!! I can not wait for LOST!!! It’s going to be great!

I was thinking the same thing about Blake Lively. Last night, I also noted that she was slouching too… that girl needs to stand up straight! She may not have felt confident in that dress… who knows 🙂

I work in Beverly Hills, so happened to be grabbing lunch the day after the GG and saw Blake Lively crossing the street. She is tiny and the dress just doesnt do her justice! I agree completely with your analysis.

I absolutely can’t wait for Lost! I’m not as hooked on Idol (I get hooked later in the season) but have tons of other trash tv shows to watch 🙂
I watch the Real Housewives of Orange County too! They’re by far my favorite, Atlanta and NYC housewives aren’t as interesting.
Your thoughts on Blake and Christina are spot on. I’m not a fan of the shoes on Blake either, they don’t quite work somehow. I looove Christina’s dress. She looks like a modern day Belle from Beauty and The Beast!

One of my best friends was pretty much foaming at the mouth to watch AI tonight! Funny. And yes, the dress looks a tad small & goofy, which is really too bad.

Tuesday nights are so crazy with all the good TV!! I have AI on my DVR, am watching Biggest Loser (FAVE) and am sooo looking forward to this week of RHOOC! Can’t wait to see if Gretchen really goes off with Tamara’s son!

That yellow dress is just stunning. It is exactly what I would want to wear if I ever got the chance to walk down the red carpet. I just love Christina…I think she is such a beautiful and strong woman!
I’m a Lostie too! I didn’t know you were a fan and can’t wait!!! I thought the same thing about Blake – I mean, they could have taken it out just a bit! Loved the yellow! I loved how everyone wore cream or white. Really was impressed with Demi Moore. I hated what Tina Fey wore. I loved Eva Mandes’ necklace – but could have done without the poof on her dress!
Blake was on a worst-dressed list somewhere else that I saw. I like the dress, if it were the right size!

I only got to watch a little American Idol because we started watching Wall-e, but I like the new season so far 🙂 Also, I agree about Blake Lively and Cristina Applegate. The first was not great and the second was stunning 🙂

In general I don’t think Blake Lively is very well dressed. She looks great as Serena but she usually fails me on the red carpet.
