the fake bump

Please don’t mind the horrified look on my face. And please note that this is not my belly, but the foam/padded belly that they gave you at maternity clothes stores to try on. Definitely more strange than trying on a wedding dress. And it didn’t look the same as when you put a basketball under your shirt in the 6th grade.

Edited to add: That’s a 7 month belly in there. I have a feeling I’ll be bigger than that when I’m at 7 months.

    it is such a weird feeling! i worked at a maternity store in college and they wanted the sales staff to try on the belly and clothes so we could tell clients how things fit…it was such an odd feeling!

    WOW. Found your blog and loved this post. My Indians are 9 and 6 – and boy have times changed. I’ve never seen practice bumps – but what a good idea! Congrats – you have a lot of fun ahead!
