I just had to show all of you what Erin Vey posted on her blog today. Before we adopted Fiona, I wanted to get a Goldendoodle to be a companion for Boudreaux. You get the love and goofiness of the Golden Retriever without all the shedding.
Meet Rudy. A 12 week old Goldendoodle.
I’m finally getting around to posting an update on the Erin Vey photo contest. Fiona and I were not the winners, but we were runners up with a few other dogs and their owners.
Erin Vey emailed me after announcing the winner to let me know that the winner and his owner live in Charlotte and that we were welcome to drive up to Charlotte when she comes and have a little photo session at that time. I’ll be super-pregnant then, but I won’t be able to resist having Fiona’s little mug captured by a real photographer! Besides, Charlotte is only a little over an hour away.
That is a CUTE face!
Cute, cute, cute!!!
Ohhh this is no good. Just when my itch for a puppy went away you have to post this adorable picture! I have never heard of a Goldendoodle before! I love Golden Retrievers…I adore them but they shed so much!! This is a great alternative…now I just have to talk my hubby into it!
Hi Erin! I recently found your blog again (I found it orginally and posted that we were both going to the Grand Wailea for our honeymoons). And anyway, I saw that you’re pregnant! Congratulations!!!
Too cute! We looked at goldendoodles too when we got our golden, but decided to go with the original. I do love them! My hubby just hates poodles and was scared we’d end up with a really curly one!
Goldendoodle – how funny! Super cute doggie. Awwww! 🙂
So precious. I love Goldens and think the Goldendoodles are so stinkin’ cute as well.
ok seriously that face is adorable, but more importantly I am SO JEALOUS that little Fiona gets to have her picture taken!!!!
First time commenter.
Such a cutsey puppy! We are actually looking into getting a puppy for our household. Did you by any chance have another blog counting down preperations to your wedding?
We met a Goldendoodle at the dog park this weekend, and I have to agree that they are absolutely adorable. I loved watching her run around – she looked like a muppet from Sesame Street!
Awww! What an adorable dog.
I love love Goldendoodles! We have a Labradoodle and she rarely sheds. It’s perfect!! She is a perfect mix between the two dogs but not nearly as hyper as a Lab.
I think we are going to get a Golden Doodle… I just hope the cat gets along with the dog! Steve (the cat) sure liked being an only pet.
First of all, congrats on being selected as one of the runners up – that’s so cool! I read your story and had big tears in my eyes. Not sure how I missed in reading your blog how you ended up with Fiona but oh my goodness, what a special way to adopt a dog. Your cousin totally lives on with her – no wonder you’ve become like velcro!! What a wonderful, wonderful thing to do.
I can’t wait to see the pics from Fiona’s photo shoot. Do you think Boudreaux will see any photo action or will it be all about Fiona?
So so cute!
How adorable!! They look like a real-life teddy bear!
OMG! I am in love with that dog! What a great mix 🙂
Wow! Now that’s adorable! I’d heard of them before, but never seen a picture. I may be in love! Thanks for getting me bit with the puppy love…now where’s Fiance?!
That is the cutest puppy I have seen in awhile! It looks so cute that for a second I really thought it must have been a stuff animal puppy.
So adorable… I especially love this post since I’ve been in-love with Goldendoodles FOREVER! Westies are an equal fave!! Congrats on being a Runner-up!!!
Goldendoodles are the cutest! I just posted a picture of my family’s doodle on my blog. They are such fun dogs!
I don’t know how I missed this post…
Ok first of all… OMg-the more you say the more I realize we need to live closer 🙂 I am obsessed with Goldendoodles! I mean really! My husband thinks they are girly, I LOVE them!
Love Goldendoodles!!!! We have one, and actually wanted to Barkley a Golden Retrieve companion…they’re both great dogs!!!
I love Goldendoodles! They’re so much fun!
