200th post and giveaway!

I’m not going to talk about the Gamecocks and our heartbreaking loss. I’m not going to talk about how stinkin’ hot it was in Columbia on Saturday. I’m not going to talk about the fact that my face, neck, and shoulders are more sunburned than they’ve been since I was in middle school.

I’m going to talk about my 200th post giveaway!!!

I’m really excited about this giveaway. It’s the Reisenthel collapsible basket and cover. And the cover is monogrammable! I got one of these baskets as a wedding gift and I love it. I use it to carry food to pot lucks. I use it at the grocery store. I use it for tailgates. I’m planning to use it for picnics when the weather is finally tolerable. It’s a great basket and it stores so nicely!

All you have to do is leave a comment telling me how you would use the basket. I’ll be entering all of your names into a drawing on Saturday, September 20 and announcing the winner on my blog. Make sure you don’t enter as “anonymous.”

There are so many cute colors and patterns! When the winner is announced, I’ll get the winner’s preference on color and monogram options.

Good luck! Leave a comment!

Does this post have the most number of comments ever or what?! The basket is too cute for my house. It’s too cute for my office (you know, the storage closet down the hall from you). And it’s not quite big enough to cover the huge scratch on the bumper of my car. I would have to use it as an inspiration piece for my dream home, which we should be breaking ground on any day now. (Do sarcastic replies count? It’s a good thing you know me so well.) Looking forward to lunch!

  15. Mrs. Buck says

I love these baskets! I’ve seen them before and always wanted one – but for some reason never bought one for myself.

I’m trying to not use any plastic bags at the grocery store, so I’d use it for groceries for sure, and a picnic with the hubby would be such a great idea!

Great blog, I just found it and I’m already hooked!

I just mentioned on my blog that I need to think of a give-away to get more comments after seeing Belle and her Beau’s comments rocket at her giveaway. Looks like it works!

  28. southern daze says

Although I can think of a million uses for myself (most of which you already covered), I would give it as a gift to friend, Stephanie, who is due to deliver her first child (a baby girl) in November. She could use it in the nursery as storage for the baby’s toys, blankets, sweet new outfits, or bathing necessities. My guess is that you can never have too much storage space when you have a newborn!

p.s. I love how quickly your comment tally is inching up now that you’re hosting a giveaway. Before you know it you’ll have 50+ comments. Looks like you’re much better known in the blogosphere than you gave yourself credit for!

  39. Carolina Mom says

Blue Eyed Blonde, I really enjoy your blog! Of course this little basket would be perfect to keep in the car for a run to the grocery store but I would be even more likely to use it to take along a book, magazine or two and a legal pad for jotting notes on long car trips. This would be perfect!

  40. CarolinaGirl says

I know you are not going to like this, but I would take it to see my Clemson Tigers play in Death Valley!

I could also put my Yorkie in it when we go on our long trips home to SC. She always snuggles up in my purse, and it drives me nuts. This would be great for her.

  41. Beach Bride says

i would use it to put all my carry-on items when i travel — knitting, magazines, notebooks, sweater… and when i fly home to see my mama, i can put my baby chihuahua puppy in it. she’s the cutest little thing in the world. and i promise to send you pictures if i win!

  44. Jessica says

These are the greatest, I have one as well and LOVE it! I keep in our desk inside and put everything that needs to make its way to the car in it for one easy trip. I do the same thing once in the car so nothings rattling all around in the back of the car. I also used it this summer to go to the pool for toys, towels, and snacks. I got endless compliments!

Congrats on your 200th post!!! I love these baskets. I have a similar one that I keep in my SUV to hold everything from kleenex to waterbottles to handwipes. It is awesome. I would probably use one in my pantry for art supplies. It wold be so easy for the kiddies just to grab.

  57. Sarah says

Oh yay! Congrats on your 200th post! I think I’d probably use the basket for shopping at the grocery store as well as taking it to the Outer Banks for vacations, I’d put some yummy sandwiches, cheese balls (for the me and the seagulls!) and then some ice cold sodas and maybe some cookies, pack it all up and take to the beach!! 🙂

This basket I could also use to keep my change of uniforms (working 3 jobs!) in my car! This would look much better than the green whole foods bag I have been using haha!

I've been reading for a while…and quiet, never comment type of reader! But love your blog and could not pass this up!

Congratulations on 200! I love love love your blog!

What a fun giveaway! Yay! I would use these lovely baskets for transporting all my baked goods, wine and cheese for beach picnics, outdoor concerts and just to look cute when running to local grocery store! Congrats on your 200th post! Quite an accomplishment!

  63. Kelly B. says

That is one adorable basket! I worked with your dad at Children’s for a couple of years and he shared your blog with me when I got engaged (the wedding is a month from today!!). After our wedding, I’m relocating from Dallas (yes, I am a life time Texan) to the East Bay/San Francisco area and the basket would be PERFECT for the lovely farmer’s markets in California… especially with my brand-new monogram! Take care, thanks so much for sharing with us and for the give away opportuity!

  64. Anna says

    Congrats on 200th!
That basket has infinite possibilities I think.
    I can’t just use one!
It could be used for bringing goodies to dinner, get togethers, etc!
    Having a picnic!
Keeping things organized while you are out and about running errands!
    Honestly, the possibilities are endless!

  65. Emily says

    How fun!

I would definitely use it to carry food for all the church potlucks we attend and for groceries. It’s perfect for groceries.

  66. thatdisneygirl says

I love those baskets! Going green has gotten so cute lately! I would probably be using the basket to stave off any potential marital troubles. You see, my dear fiance has the darling habit of walking around the apartment after a long day of work and leaving a trail of things behind him. Keys here, wallet there, credit card statement here, belt there, sock here…you get the picture. By the time I get home there’s an actual trail leading to my love.

I’m sure I would feel much more cheerful about collecting his items and dropping them on his nightstand if I had such a cute basket to help me. 🙂

  67. Lynsey and Brian says

Congrats on 200!!! I would use to darling basket for tailgating and for my trips to the grocery store and farmers market. I’ve had my eye on these baskets for some time. Great giveaway!

  68. Lucky Wife says

Congratulations on your 200th post! These baskets are SO adorable; I think they would be perfect to bring apple picking because the paper bags at the orchard are always so flimsy and hard to carry… and the cover would keep those extra apples I always try to stuff in the bag from falling out 🙂 The monogrammed cover is icing on the cake because I can never pass up anything monogrammed!

  69. Beth says

I would use the basket to help hold my little girls’ toys. She’s 10 months old and LOVES to take things in and out of baskets!! I’d have it monogrammed with her name. 🙂

    Love your site!!!

  70. lifelovelipstick says

    Yay for 200 posts!

I could definitely use this for picnics and carrying food to potlucks. Would also carry my children’s things on roadtrips. It’s always so hard to contain all the books and toys somewhere easily accessible!

  71. Lulu says

GREAT idea! Grocery shopping in New York City can be tres difficult, since you have to frequent 4 different stores to get the goods: grocery for food, drug for household items, liquor store for vino, and the corner bodega for cheap veggies. I certainly miss the goold ol’ fashioned “supermarket”, but this tote would make the ordeal much more fun! LOVE your blog, can’t wait to read more!

  72. Legallyblondemel says

So fun! Would you believe I need just such a basket for my pup & his related accoutrement? I'd like something presentable and stylish to put out in my living room, and this looks like the perfect thing.

    Congratulations on reaching 200!

  73. Tara says

Yay for your 200th post! I just recently discovered your blog and am loving it.

These baskets are so cute! I would use one for picnics and for when we just go to the park with the dogs to hang out for an afternoon… and of course also for potlucks and such. Great giveaway!

  74. Beaufort Belle says

Lucky girl you…what a wonderful gift to receive.

I think if I won, I would definitely use it to transport stuff down to the beach, for picnics (if I can get my husband to take enough time off for one), for ultimate tailgates, and probably to help me bring stuff in after an all out Costco shopping experience. Also to carry dishes to church on Sunday mornings when they are still too warm to carry.

  75. New Girl on Post says

What a wonderful idea for a 200th post! I think I’d use my basket to take treats to work or FRG meetings (if we ever had them).

  76. Amber M. says

I found your blog when Kelly Moore posted your wedding pics. It is one of my favorite weddings I’ve seen her shoot. I really enjoy reading your blog! So congrats on the first 200 posts! I wish you luck with your future blogging. 🙂

I would use the basket to hold and carry around my current crochet projects. I’m working on a few baby blankets for my nephew and godchild that are both due early next year.

  77. Lindsay Adams says

I CANNOT believe 93 people have left comments. Your readership is out of hand. Seriously, I think like 5 people read my blog. Just kidding, there’s a few more. Anyway, my chances of winning are slim, but the basket is so cute and handy! I’d probably go green with it and use it to carry groceries rather than plastic bags. It’d make a great beach bag too – put towels and sunscreen in there, or anything you didn’t want sand on!

  78. LYNN says

I would donate my canvas shopping bags to my husband-to-be so that he could stop using plastic bags, and I’d gladly start using this on my grocery trips instead! And if he actually remembered to take the bags into stores with him I’d be so proud 🙂

  79. gk says

Those baskets are fabulous! I would probably put Bodde’s toys in it! 200 posts – congrats! Hopefully I’m not too late 🙂 -Kellsey
