sneak peak: {Blurb giveaway}

I wanted to go ahead and offer a sneak peak at one of my favorite images that has been submitted for the Blurb giveaway so far.

Is this not the funniest thing you’ve ever seen? He looks like a little old man all lounged out. I love it!

It’s not too late to enter. I’ll be making the final selection of the top 5 cover photos on Tuesday, October 7. I’ve received some gorgeous, hilarious, and inspiring photos and can’t wait to see what else you email me.

To enter, leave a comment on this post and email the photo to me. Remember that it must be a photo that you took yourself. I have to keep it fair, ladies.

more torture?!

Seriously, I can’t handle anymore of this.

Shop It To Me just sent a huge email full of sales to me. I found this gorgeous DVF dress, in my size, at Bloomingdale’s.

Would you believe that this dress is down to $175 from $465? They’re practically giving it away.

So far I’ve resisted the temptation, but I think it’s calling my name for 2009 spring and summer weddings.

the debate

I’m so uncomfortable watching the debate I could die! Be forewarned: I won’t be commenting on any VP debate-related blog posts tonight or tomorrow. I’m exhausted after listening to this. My husband laughed uncontrollably ninety percent of the time we watched this.

At least Sarah Palin’s outfit was fantastic.

ETA: I thought that SP did a fine job. In the beginning I was frustrated because I felt like he was on the offensive and she was on the defensive. That quickly changed. I was uncomfortable because I was so nervous for her going into to the debate and then I was uncomfortable because every time she said a cute little expression, my husband would crack up laughing. All is well because according to pretty much every major news network, she won!

oh… the torture!

I’ve gotten at least 6 emails today telling me about all of the sales going on. I have to say that Restoration Hardware’s $100 off is the most tempting, but I think a $400minimum purchase is a little out of the park for me. But I’ve promised myself that I’m not going to spend money unnecessarily and with the holidays coming up, I need to think about saving!
So I’ve decided to just post all of my most-wanted items in my blog and imagine myself wearing them (and hope that Todd stumbles upon this post and purchases these things for me for my birthday!)

Berry Trim Strapless Nathalie Dress

(pretty much perfect for my Junior League Holiday Market Preview Party)

Cashmere Femme Sweater
(perfect for those “fat days” where you feel like you need to hide your tummy)

Lizzie Metallic-Leather Driving Mocs
