I’m so sorry for the delay in posting for the last five days. I’ve been a little busy and I’m afraid to see how many posts I need to get through in my Google reader. I can’t wait to see what all of you have been up to.

I taught my three hour class last night after work and got home around 8:15– just in time to find the President on every channel, causing me to stay up until 11:00 watching The Bachelor. Today I’m able to stay at home for three hours as a means of comp time. I have a big morning planned!

I’m going to get a pedicure, taking my maternity jeans to be hemmed, going shoe shopping, picking up dry cleaning, grabbing lunch at one of my favorite restaurants, and then heading in to work. It’s 76 degrees here today and the weather change has put me in the best mood! I’m already looking for fun Spring maternity clothes. Here’s what I’m eyeing right now!

I have been craving sweet stuff all afternoon. I was specifically craving Birthday Cake ice cream from Marble Slab, but I decided not to take any detours on my way home from work. Instead, I made these:

A good friend of mine gave me the Williams Sonoma brownie mix with a 9×9 brownie pan and cover and a 9×13 brownie pan and cover. It was such a great gift!

I’ve been saving the brownies for a day when I’d really appreciate them. I knew they’d be better than the regular Duncan Hines brownie mix. I finally made the Williams Sonoma brownies today and they are phenomenal! I’m sure I’m overly excited about this because I’m pregnant and no one appreciates gooey chocolate like a pregnant woman!

Today officially marks the 22nd week of my pregnancy. I can’t believe we are past the half-way mark and well into the second half. My next appointment will be at 24 weeks, then I’ll have another ultrasound at 28 weeks. After my 28 week appointment I’ll start seeing my doctor every two weeks. That’s just crazy to me. Time is seriously flying by and I feel like I haven’t done anything!

My first shower is in Dallas on March 7 and invitations have apparently gone out for that. This means that Todd and I have to register this weekend. I’m completely overwhelmed by the idea of registering for baby gear. When you register for wedding gifts, you just pick out the prettiest things and the things you know you need and like. Registering for baby gear requires researching for safety purposes and lots of Consumer Reports information and comparisons.

I’m spending a week in Dallas from March 5-12 with my mom to pick out nursery fabric and furniture and get that ball rolling. Once I decide on fabrics I can choose a wall paint color and get moving on that. February will be over be we know it and we’ll be one month closer to Baby Boy’s arrival.

MM, here’s the next “hot” baby bump photo. You can see that my face is definitely starting to fill out. It’s amazing how much weight you can gain when you’re not throwing up every hour! I feel great because I was finally able to get my hair highlighted again yesterday. It had been six months since my last highlight. I couldn’t get it highlighted in the first trimester, then my stylist went on maternity leave, and now I don’t have an ugly dark line separating new hair from old hair.

I’m so excited about this Valentine’s Day giveaway! This is one of my favorite holidays because I love pink and red together, hearts, chocolate, and a day to celebrate love!
