We are home from our magical vacation to Disney World. We had an amazing seven days away, and I can’t believe how quickly the time flew by.
We have some incredible memories from the trip, but honestly it was just such a joy to be away from home with just my little family of four. This was our first time to travel away from home for a vacation without any extended family. We did it. We loved it. (Not every single second of it, but we loved it.)
I plan to do some full Disney recap posts with everything we did and all that I learned, but first I just want to encourage you to spend some good, uninterrupted time with your families. We loved this time away together, away from almost all of our distractions, and I would go on a camping trip if it meant we got to have that kind of fun together again.
And I would even ride the teacups a thousand times if it meant I could see these faces just like this a thousand times more. What a joy!

I’ve been following your instagram pictures and have been loving each snapshot! Your boys look like they had the time of their life! Nothing like making memories for both you and them. So sweet!

So glad you had a great trip! I think traveling with just your immediate family is so important. I definitely think there is a time and place for extended family vacations, but not at the expense of making memories as just the four of you. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it!
Thanks so much for sharing all of your pictures with your readers while you were on your trip. It was so fun to see your sweet family enjoying your experience! I can’t wait for our trip in August!
So glad you all had a great time at Disney! I guess it truly is the happiest place on Earth. You give me hope for a possible beach trip this year just the 4 of us.
So fun! We love our WDW memories–and I agree that vacations with just our immediate family are a different kind of fun and much needed (my husband has actually laid down the law on that one–especially now that our kids are older–that this type of trip is the priority). Can’t wait to read your recaps.
What a precious photo!
So glad you guys had such a good time! I can’t wait to attempt a family-only vacation. We did it once when my twins were 9 months old to visit my Grandfather in Florida and had a great time. I’m not sure we’ll be able to manage it again with a tiny baby but maybe in a few years!
I love this picture! I’ve really enjoyed looking at all of your pictures on Instagram. And you are so right, you should take time to get away with your family. We unfortunately had to cancel our plans to go to the beach this summer, but we’re still looking to do something fun. I think it’s important to create those memories.
I have enjoyed seeing the pics you posted on FB. It seemed like the grins on their faces just got bigger and bigger with every picture! Looking forward to reading your posts on the trip. We’re probably two years out from ours but I’ve started reading different posts and it seems a tad overwhelming to plan a trip to Disney World. Alex says we’re hiring a tour guide. HAHA! And I agree…vacay with just your family is priceless. I’m happy that you’re sweet family had this time together. Good job, Mama!
yes! we always take a vacation with just us and it is so much fun! It is also a big reason why we love camping so much! (plus, camping is a lot cheaper!) LOL
I can’t wait to hear more about your trip! 😉
Gald y’all had such a good time, I loved it when we went a few years ago. I bet I’ll love it even more with babies:)
That is one incredible picture. We got back Friday and I just want to go back already! So much fun…
