some blips!

1. My mom is still here and we’re loving having her here! It’s just nice to have some adult company during the day. And someone to entertain Hudson when he’s bored with me.

2. I took Hayes to the ENT today for a tubes follow up appointment. His ears look great and he passed his hearing test with flying colors. Yay!

3. I wore my Cora earrings from Bridier Baubles today. I love these so much! They are the perfect pop of color. I have a few other orders from them coming. I can’t get enough! (And I totally took this picture while sitting in the parking lot at the ENT’s office)

4. Have you tried the chocolate chip cookies from Chick-fil-A? Oh my goodness. They’re heaven in a little brown bag. It is incredibly dangerous to have such delicious chocolate chip cookies via a drive through window. Chick-fil-A, I love you, but my hips don’t.

5. We had an amazing dining experience last night and I will blog about it tomorrow. And my mom and I are going to see The Lucky One tonight.

6. My good friend Anna and I have a nice little system going. She tells her daughter that “Miss Erin said to do something” and I totally used her today and got Hudson to hold her hand to walk to the car after preschool. Since he refuses to hold my hand. Hey, whatever keeps him from getting hit by a car.

7. I’m taking full advantage of having my mom in town and trying to take care of any appointments that are difficult with children. My hair appointment is tomorrow. Hello, summer blonde! I’ve missed you!

8. My dogs are out of control. Just hyper and barking like crazy. Maybe they’re allergic to toddlers.

9. I have mentally moved in to a house that we love. Please, St. Joe, help our house get sold.

10. Hudson’s legs look like a game of “connect the dots” without all the connecting. His little legs are so bruised up. But he is constantly running into things and falling down.

11. Mother’s Day is this weekend. I actually get to spend Mother’s Day with my mom for the first time in about six years. I’m really looking forward to it.

12. I got sunburned this weekend at Hayes’s party. I hate getting sunburned, but it’s amazing how quickly my face is so clear after getting a little sun!

13. And because it’s so dang cute to me, you have to see these two pictures of my baby boys.

I have purposely avoided trying those CFA cookies because I just know that if I take one bite, it will become an addiction – like everything they have there! Enjoy your time with your mom – you deserve some adult time (and some highlights). Happy Tuesday:)

    Love those earrings!

Have fun at The Lucky One. I loved it, but I hadn’t read the book. Interested to see what you think!

Hudson looks like such a big boy in the picture above! I want to try those cookies from Chic fil A. Do they only have chocolate chip?

OOOOOHHHHHHH, I have been wanting to try the CFA cookies. Somehow, I have restrained myself thus far. Doubt I’ll be able to go much longer without caving now!

As a southerner living in NYC, I miss CFA on a regular basis! Those cookies sound delicious and make me miss it even more. Probably better they arent an option right now-my hips would surely be savoring them for much longer than my mouth.

Adorable boys=adorable pics! Party looked so fun. 🙂

I saw the Lucky One Sunday night with 2 girlfriends! It made this 40 year old woman need a fan:) It was really good. And when did Zach Ephron become SUCH.A.HOTTIE???

Ohhhh, those CFA cookies are like a little slice of Heaven. And they are WARM when they hand them to you. I have a CFA within walking distance of my house, so this is not a good thing.

I love that Bridier Baubles website, I have a few items in my basket.

I’m glad your mom has been there, and you have been able to get some things done. My dad and his wife are here this week and I went to a luncheon yesterday for my business and then swung by the water department to do some paperwork to inquire about our monstrous water bills the last two months. Just being able to go to the lunch (at the wonderful Jekyll island hotel of all places, lol) and run this quick errand by myself was glorious!!

Enjoy the rest of your time with your mom and your mother’s day!! Also, I can’t wait to see what house y’all buy and decorate if your current home sells!! :))

I meant to say Hayes and his sombrero are so cute, and I cannot believe that’s even Hudson…he’s a real little boy now, no more baby. How did he grow up this fast?

  9. says

Frist, you look GORGEOUS in that picture! I love the earrings too!
I am loving all of the fiesta pictures as always, you did an amazing job.
I can’t even try the CFA cookies, I’m pretending that they taste horrible becuase if I try them I won’t be able to resist 🙂
And how big does Hudson look in that picture!?

I just had to comment on sweet little Hayes and his adorable sombrero. That picture is precious and should be framed immediately! 🙂

Also, I used St. Joe a few years ago when the market was tough and it worked…along with some strategic marketing of course. I hope your home sells quickly. We have a bungalow that we’ve outgrown, and we’re ready to move on as well.

miss erin! i love that – SO nice to see. i’m not a big fan of kids calling adults by their first names (without an ‘aunt’ or a ‘miss’ or something in front of it) . i was brought up never to do that, but no one seems to observe that anymore. to this day, i still call my friend’s parents “mr. & mrs. such and such”…it feels so WEIRD not to. to me, it’s just good manners. is it a southern thing?

glad hayes’s ENT follow up went well and that you are enjoying time with your mom.

have fun at your hair appointment!

I haven’t tried the choc chip cookies yet but I bet they’re uh mah zing! Loved your earrings too!
