There really is something about this time of year. Spring fever and cabin fever kind of go hand-in-hand.
If Spring is here, that means Easter is on the horizon. Easter is such a special day for our family and the holidays are so much more fun when little kids are around. We’ll start dying Easter eggs soon and I’m going to make a wreath out of fake eggs and pretty ribbon.
So in addition to the wreath and adding fresh flowers to my house in the springtime, I need to work on Easter party plans which includes getting my house ready for having company. I want each room to smell fresh and clean.
I’ve been using my Glade® PlugIns® Scented Oil in Magic Meadow™ in almost every room. And I’m burning the same Glade® Jar Candle in the kitchen and the living room. I can honestly say my house has never smelled so fresh.
The Glade® products put off a lot of scent, but it’s not overwhelming and it smells fresh and natural — just enough to cover up the smells of pets and little boys who have been happily playing outside.
I’ve started collecting books, small toys, and Easter candy for the boys’ Easter baskets.
We’ll have our family members come over after church for the Easter egg hunt. The adults will hide the eggs and then Hudson and Hayes will go out to find them. Sweet baby Hayes probably won’t get much of an opportunity to look, but we’ll make sure he gets a couple.
After the Easter egg hunt we’ll come back inside for lunch. I’m planning a traditional Easter meal of ham, potato salad, seven-layer salad, hash brown casserole, green beans, and a carrot cake.
I think I’ll wrap up a couple of the candles to give as thank you gifts to our family members that join us for Easter lunch. The packaging on the Glade® Limited Edition Spring Collection is absolutely darling and eye-catching. All I need is to add a bow and it’s the perfect Easter gift!
