It has been such a fun, busy week! I did manage to take a few pictures, so I’ll try to update you on what’s been going on that way!
On Sunday, I started decorating for the Holiday Market. And by Wednesday around 3:00 p.m., we were finished! I had an amazing committee and hopefully I’ll do a full post with all of the decorations. I took a few pictures of the table decorations and some other details the other day.
Santa Claus visited the Holiday Market on Friday night, so we took Hudson and Hayes. Hudson couldn’t wait to meet Santa and Hayes slept while we waited to see the jolly old elf. Then Hudson melted down as soon as he hit Santa’s lap!
I was completely inspired by our Holiday Market theme and colors and decided to play up those colors in my tree this year. My tree is a mix of ornaments of all colors, but I buy different ribbon every year to bring out my favorite colors for that year. This year I focused on the pink, green and peacock blue. Because I just hadn’t seen enough of it at Holiday Market yet! Our ornaments are things that we have collected at events and as souvenirs when we travel. I love going through all of them each year and remembering where we were when we bought them.
We had a fun Preview Party for Holiday Market and I got all dressed up to go. I had fun hanging out with my friends Emily and Misty. The band was so much fun!
Hayes has been so sweet! I’m so excited to be celebrating his first Christmas. Today, my friendsΒ Rachel and Katie came to town to shop at the Holiday Market. Afterward, I went with them to lunch and brought Hayes while Hudson and TC ran errands. He was excited to hang out with mommy’s friends!
Hudson and Hayes are excited that I’ll be home all week with them this next week.
Tomorrow, we’ll spend the evening tearing down the Holiday Market decorations, which will be a little bittersweet. But I’m eager to get my Christmas season started! I am looking forward to watching Christmas movies at night and wrapping presents.
My Jesus Calling devotions this past week have really helped me have a sense of peace as we’ve had so much going on. It’s a very busy time for TC, too, so we’re just all trying to pull together to keep things going.
I’ve missed my blog! Hopefully this means I’m back to regularly scheduled posting.
And stay tuned. On Monday, Nina and I have a very exciting blog event happening! Get excited!

I can’t wait to see the decorations. And the boys look so cute. Poor Hudson. He looks terrified.
Your tree looks great! Poor Hudson π Love Hayes’s outfit!
Your tree is absolutely beautiful!
I’m glad your holiday market was such a success, the decrations were perfect. Your tree is beautiful, and Hayes is just precious in his little Christmas outfit!
It sounds like Holiday Market went well! I love your tree! I don’t think I have any pictures of myself with Santa because as a child I never really liked him much, so I would start crying even if all we did was get near him.
Your tree is GORGEOUS. I say I’m going to add ribbon or mesh to my tree every year and never do it. Maybe I’ll stick some in this year…it adds so much!
And could those two boys be any cuter? I think not. So adorable.
Your decorations are unbelievable! The tree is mesmerizing. Probably time to get our tree, huh? π
You may have posted this already, but where are those Christmas tree pants from? Is that a complete outfit with the Santa shirt? I LOVE it!!
I love your tree!!! I’m not putting one up at my own place so I’m living through fellow bloggers trees. Poor Hudson in the Santa photo.
Erin- The decorations at HM were fantastic! Great job!
The decorations were fantastic — so beautiful! And I’m glad to know my daughter wasn’t the only one that had a meltdown at PJs with Santa. She freaked out and wouldn’t go anywhere near him this year. At least you got a picture of your cute boys with him though!
You’re sooo talented! I loved the decorations!
Your babies are soo stinkin adorable! Loved the outfits!
I also love your hair dark-cute pic of you & Hudson. Can’t wait to see more pics! π
I loved coming to the Holiday Market. The decorations were amazing, I love everything I bought….and of course I loved getting to see you AND little Hayes π
Fabulous job on the holiday market!! And your tree looks like it should be in a magazine. Also, I am in LOVE eith those embroidered Christmas pillows(and that picture needs to be framed!)….I saw that picture on twitter and meant to ask, did you make them? Or if not, where are they from?! Have an awesome week with your sweethearts π
I just love your tree! So adorable. So glad you have had such a fun time with your holiday market! π

Your tree is my happy place–the jewel tones, the bows, the ribbons. All of it. When we finally put up a tree I am legit going to pay you to come over and decorate my tree.

I LOVE your tree! The colors are amazing! Nice work!!
And I can’t remember if I told you this before but I’m really like your brown hair. Looks great!
Erin, your tree is so inspiring. I usually keep mine “simple” but I am in awe of yours! So pretty.
Where did you get Hayes’s cute christmas clothes? I can’t find anything cute that comes small enough for my Hayes.
Erin… Your tree looks really “FUN”, I attended a Christmas parade downtown yesterday and Neiman’s had a FUN tree with these “kewel”colors as well. I think since I love the FUN/FUNKY stuff, I’m going to go for my Bronze,Chocolate & Gold color scheme.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh’ …. I’m loving your hair COLORING…. You go girl!
I love those PJs in the Santa picture – where did you find them?
Wow! Your friend Misty has the whitest teeth! Ha! Oh what fun we had…
The decorations at Holiday Market were beautiful! I love, love the colors. You did a FABULOUS JOB!!! Where did you find the ornaments, etc. that you used? I’d love to get some for a few projects I’m working on. Thanks so much! And I love their pajamas… so cute!
Your tree is fabulous. I love the idea of changing the ribbon each year!
Love the decor..the colors are so vibrant and fun! Great job!
We need to see a better picture of that amazing tree in daylight!!! I want to see the details in that gorgeous creation.
oh sweet hudson, love the picture of them with santa! wish i lived closer so I could’ve seen JL market in person, looked gorgeous! xoxo
I still can’t get over how wonderful everything looked at the Holiday Market! On our drive home we chatted about how you really are super woman! It was such a treat to see you and to meet sweet baby Hayes! Thank you for taking the time to show us around! xoxo
Your tree is stunning- it seriously could be featured in a magazine!
So funny! My house looks just like the market too! I get so inspired every year by the market decor. This year’s scheme goes perfectly in my house though. LOVE IT! Fabu job, my friend.
We could not have done Holiday Market without you and your beautiful vision!!!!! It was beyond our expectations, and Bebe and I could not be more pleased!!!! THANK YOU for all that you did!!!!!
Erin, I read often and comment never – but I have to tell you that I absolutely love your dark hair! It suits your skin tone and makes your eyes look fantastic. Happy holidays to you and your family π
I have been reading your blog for years and just wanted to tell you that the Santa in your picture is my father! What a nice surprise to see him on your blog
I love your tree and am hoping you can give a bit of guidance π After 30 years of tree trimming I’ve decided I’m completely bored with our tree and (even with my gorgeous Christopher Radko ornaments) decided to started to do something brand new. We’re switching this year to white lights and my darling daughters have made 200 origami cranes. I’d love to do something with the ribbons like you did, but can’t quite tell from the photos how you put them on the tree. Help! Bows? Ribbons hanging vertically? What kind? Thanks so much. I’ve been loving your posts lately.
Lissa
My goodness you are amazing at decorating!!!! And you guys are so silly and so cute!
