laughter and tears

On Saturday night, we were just hanging around the house waiting for Hudson’s bed time and decided to watch a DVRed episode of his favorite, Sesame Street. He may have seen this episode before, but I’m not sure. He was watching pretty intently and then all of a sudden he just cracked up. I’ve never seen him laugh at anything on TV before, but we thought it was so funny, we decided to rewind it and let him watch him it again, so we could get his reaction on video.

I need to remember to turn my iPhone around the other way when taking video. Oops!

On Sunday morning after church, we decided to take advantage of Hudson wearing an Easter outfit and take him on out to the mall to see the Easter Bunny. He kept saying, “Hey, Easter Bunny” and “I see you, Easter Bunny.” But as soon as we put him on the Easter Bunny’s lap, this was his reaction. I quickly snapped a picture- even though the photographer said she refused to take pictures of the kids crying on the Easter Bunny’s lap. Forget the fact that we had waited 45 minutes to get a photo with the Easter Bunny.

TC and I grabbed him up really quickly and then Hudson started talking to the Easter Bunny again and telling him “bye bye.” He likes him– just from a distance!

At least I was quick enough to snap a photo.

Ha ha, I love the video of Hudson laughing – too funny! I love it when kids laugh with their whole bodies. It is the cutest. I was (still am…) super afraid of dressed up characters. The Easter Bunnies I see around all look kinda creepy! But Hudson looks super cute. I understand only wanting to converse with the Bunny from afar 🙂

Bahahaha! Levi had the same reaction. Loved him when he wasn’t on his lap and then wanted to go see him again after the tragic incident. SILLY BOYS! 🙂 So sweet – glad you snapped a picture anyway!!!

That video is hilarious! There is nothing better than a child’s laughter and he certainly found something funny on that episode. 🙂

I love when he falls down. He was so into it 🙂 What is it he keeps saying…sounded maybe like smiling?

I can’t believe she wouldn’t take a picture. DOes she realize that’s her job? What a joke. Like the easter bunny is going to get a bad rap from those crying pics. Glad you got one for the scrapbook.

And so funny about the Easter Bunny. I think I would like him better from a distance too. 😉

Love those first sounds of laughter…I’ll never forget those, even as mine are much older babies! I still love to hear them laugh at things on TV 🙂 Love the bunny pic too, I have several absolutely distraught photos as well. The bunny is SCARY!

Ooooh man! He looks miserable! Poor little guy!! It does look like the bunny only has one eye, from the picture, so I can understand his concern!!!
